Thanks for the website Bid, very useful. He was on anti-histamines for 4 days but was just going mad scratching,he was making himself bleed. His coat is looking a lot finer and quite dull now.The steroids seemed to work almost immediately and he is a lot happier in himself. x x

Re: Grooming gone horribly wrong
I do know how you feel, Wes had his fringe beard and moustache trimmed so severely I didn't recognise him when I picked him up! I just do it myself now, if he is going to look silly I would rather not have to pay for it
It does grow back quite quickly so don't worry xxxxxxxxx

Re: How do you do it?
I taught Wes to sit and wait with a doggy choc on his nose and both paws, once he was happy to do that I put his fringe in an elastic band whilst he did it.After about a week I got the scissors and snipped his topknot not always very straight lol but he can see. Good luck

Re: Could this be pyometra?
I had a bitch that suffered with pyometra and she was very obviously ill very quickly, I am certain that you would notice something very wrong with her. Goldie had a very pronounced discharge, became very thirsty and distressed over a matter of a few hours.I wonder if she could be pregnant though?

Re: Crate Obsession? Is there such a thing?
Wes is now 14 months old and he loved his crate too. However when we decided he didn't need it anymore , about a month ago, we just packed it away leaving his bedding etc on the floor. He decided to sleep under the dining room table instead and doesn't seem to miss it at all.

Re: Help, he's afraid of the wind.
Wes has been spooked by the high winds, during the day he has decided that walks are just long enough to do his business then home!I have put a t.v near him at night..it certainly helps. Luckily we have sky t.v because he loves spongebob squarepants and it keeps him occupied
