Re: Anyone for a Formby Beach walk this month?
Oh Jean, so sorry to hear that news. Completely understand not being able to make it this morning. We will be in the car park near the Victoria Road entrance at 11am this morning - hope to see a few doodles there! We're not difficult to spot - Ralph is huge and very lively; James is 6'7" and the chi...

Are we still on for this Sunday? I have to be back in Southport for 3pm so could meet about 11am - would the main carpark near the entrance be the easiest place for everyone to meet? Hope to see you all on Sunday!

Re: Anyone for a Formby Beach walk this month?
Great idea Jean! My brother and his wife live in Formby, so I'll ask them if they know anywhere close by we can park for free. We could have a poop fund (bit like a swear box!) and give £1 for poop scooped! (Ralph would bankrupt me!) :D I can do the 18th, so looks like it would be a good date for mo...

Anyone for a Formby Beach walk this month?
Sadly missed the meet on the 21st August - it was my birthday and I think OH and the kids would have got the hump if I'd decided to spend the day on the beach with Ralph! (And James was still jetlagged from getting back from Chicago 48 hours earlier!) We're regular visitors to Formby as it's only 30...

Re: Wurly & the poor Roses (Photo Heavy)
So funny! Glad Ralph isn't the only one with a thieving/destructive streak - looked out the kitchen window today to see him happily shredding one of the children's slippers in the garden - how he got it from upstairs, past me and out the house I cannot fathom, but he wasn't for giving the tattered r...

Re: Introducing Puppy to Resident Cats - Tips Please?
We already had Ozzie (resident 3-legged cat) when Ralph arrived, and after a fractious couple of days they accepted each other and now get on beautifully! Oz did have the advantage of having previously shared his home with a dog - in fact he was born in a household with a dog and has always been pre...

Re: Doodle-sized/Doodle-proof Dog Bed?
Wow, what a fantastic selection to muse over - thank so much for the replies! :D I like the idea of the raised beds, and the Original XXL is by far the biggest one I have seen (and portable would be an added bonus for when we finally take Ralph camping with us - at the moment I fear he'd chew his wa...

Re: Doodle-sized/Doodle-proof Dog Bed?
Thanks Turner's - we're a bit bias but have to agree he's growing in to a very handsome chap! Tasha - looked at the Tuffies and liked them, it's good to hear that other Doodle owners recommend them! Bid - never heard of Kuranda before, thanks for the link! They sound like the sort of thing we're loo...

Doodle-sized/Doodle-proof Dog Bed?
Ralph has outgrown his bed and I'm looking for a new one - suitable for a very large, still rather chewy puppy! Any suggestions? I've seen a few, UK company Big Hug make an extra large one that would be big enough, but I'm not sure even heavy ripstop polyester would stand up to the jaws of Ralph (an...

Re: Delemere meet
I had hoped to go, but unfortunately it clashed with my nephew's 2nd birthday party
Hope all who attended had a fab time despite the rather soggy weather - schedule permitting we will try and make the next north west walk!

Re: Any Northwest meetings this month?
Thanks for the replies! Going to try and make the meet at Delamere on the 12th, should be an easy one to get to for those on the Wirral! Really looking forward to meeting some doods and their people - should be fun! (provided Ralph remembers his manners and doesn't develop selective hearing!) ;) Ral...

Any Northwest meetings this month?
Hi, Ralph and I are new to the forums, and would love to meet up with some other labradoodles! Ralph is 6 months old and loves the company of other dogs, but I'm increasingly finding that he is a little too large and enthusiastic for playing with the average dog in the park! It would be great for hi...

Re: Hi - we're new here!
Thanks Jean! My parents are from the Wirral and my Aunt still lives in Thornton Hough with her elderly golden retriever. We have regular walks in Formby as my brother lives there - great beach for dog walking! Hopefully I'll be able to make the next Sunday meeting there, it would be great for Ralph ...
