Re: please help if you can

Morning. Sorry to hear you are having such a tough time. My thoughts would be to write a letter of apology (through gritted teeth!!). Explaining that you are aware of the excessive barking and that you are very sorry, also that you are currently seeking professional advice and starting a new trainin...

Re: Stopping?? Should I be worried?

I've wondered if he is depressed - no changes in home life though to explain why? Hoping it's just the weather..... I keep him really short Liz as it makes life a lot easier all round.

Hmmmmm, will see what next week brings.....x

Re: Stopping?? Should I be worried?

Hi, thank you for the posts. Sorry for the delay in replying back.......interesting points from you Liz. Good old Lola - I wish I could figure out Alfie's reasons though.... He is still doing it, he has been doing it early on in walks this week which worries me. He generally seems a bit fed up. He g...

Re: Stopping?? Should I be worried?

Hi, Just to let you know that the vet has given him a thorough examination this morning. Hips seem fine and his heart is good. He has prescribed some anti inflamm medication for a week and to cut down his walks slightly in case he has pulled something/ in pain. When he lays down I've got to examine ...

Re: Stopping?? Should I be worried?

Lindsey, any true dog lover  would find a cafe that served dog treats first before the hot choc and cream  Take it easy. x All well this side, well it will be for sure if we finally get the bigger garden "for the dogs" I do get him a bowl of water and my pockets are full of little...

Re: Stopping?? Should I be worried?

Thanks Julie x Thanks for your message Pollydoodle - I hope all is well in your life. x Hmmmmm, I keep trying to think of other explanations. I do vary his walks quite a lot - the more I think about it, the walk he seems to sit down on most is the one to costa and back. Maybe he is protesting about ...

Re: Stopping?? Should I be worried?

Hi, Poppy has always done this whether running around or just walking she will stop, lay down for a few moments and then we are off again. I have never thought anything of it as she has always done it but I do understand your concern as it is something new. Hope Alfie is ok. :D hi jay, thanks got y...

Re: Stopping?? Should I be worried?

Hi Lindsey, how is Alfie now? Any more stopping on walks? No advice I'm afraid, just checking in on Aero's bro, hope all is OK. My mum's Maxie doodle stops sometimes on walks and refuses to go any further, but with him I think it's a personality thing, exerting his authority on where he wants to go...

Re: Bailey as eaten a sock

No socks here but I've waited for a Lego head to pass through once. My son was gutted when I refused to pick it out, wash it and return it to his toy box!!!! Urghhhh

Re: Stopping?? Should I be worried?

Hi, thank you for your reply jolono. Yesterday's walk was fine, albeit shorter than normal and although he refused to get out the door tonight when he saw the heavy rain, he ended up having a normal walk. I'm going to keep monitoring it for now I think......thank you x
