Re: Poppy and the Malamute puppy!
I feel your pain :( Like your Poppy, we were very lucky with Rossetti - he was clean at night from the first week and rarely had an accident indoors (despite it being the terrible wet *Summer* of 2012 and the fact we struggled to get him into the garden as we spent six months knee-deep in building a...

Re: Someone's elderly Dad is missing - spread the word
How awful.....but what a good idea posting it on Doglost was.....do hope he is found very soon...... I can identify with the situation too as my Grandma (who had Alzheimer's) disappeared once when I was a child and was (like Linny's Mother) very fortunately found by a complete stranger who found her...

Re: They steal our hearts.. facing loss and need some comfor
Oh Nicky, my heart goes out to you and your darling boy Dexter...... I am so terribly sorry and have no words of comfort other than to say he has been truly loved by his human family and he will undoubtedly know that you have done everything you can for him. You, in turn will have nothing to reproac...

Awwww, he's adorable, just like his Mummy
Our boy Rossetti (Zetti) is also from Rai - he's two now and is perfect in every way, with a lovely temperament and looks to match - look forward to hearing more about your little guy when he comes home

Re: Lola has been shorn...
Lola looks gorgeous - as usual :D Stout looks very handsome too - goodness, what a large shaved patch he has though........ Raphaella had the same issue at her last trip to the groomer a couple of weeks back - she had the op early in Jan - but as she was only having a trim to neaten her up as oppose...

Re: Hiding from harness :0(
Raphaella (seven months) is exactly the same - her latest dodge is to hide behind my desk in the kitchen where there is a long flowing curtain to disguise her ample stature, lol  She too, is fine once it's on..... Rossetti (two years) is ok with his, but I think iirc when he was a puppy we also...

Re: A mini Doodle in a Mini convertible - advice!
Meant to add - it reminds me of a story DH told me about one of his former work colleagues who once rescued a stray swan
and took it to an animal shelter........in her Smart Car with the swan's head sticking out through the sunroof

Re: A mini Doodle in a Mini convertible - advice!
When Rossetti (currently two years and 11kg) first joined our family as a puppy in March 2012 we had a Freelander 2 and at first we tried him in a fabric crate in the boot, but he cried and we weren't much happier with that set up so soon progressed to a seat belt harness, but as the seats were crea...

Re: Walk without the walking bit?
We also used an Outward Hound sling for our two, although Raphaella was so much heavier (being a Spanish Water Dog which is a larger breed than our Australian mini Dood - at seven months she's now 16kg  ) that we couldn't do this for as long as we did with Rossetti :D I'd definitely echo every...
