Re: Hello All and Help!

I wondered if it might be a reaction.. funny they should both suffer together although sometimes I do think they copy each other! Nice to hear from you Bid and of course any excuse to show off my two... Most of these are from a recent holiday in Wales. As you can see, they are best buddies and do cu...

Hi everyone Gosh it must be about 3 months since I posted... no reason really.. but I still read and catch up on everyone. I hope you are all well! Maddy is now 9 months old and is developing into a lovely little character. Having two dogs... well it's all been said on here before. It is a joy but a...

Re: Pedigree dogs exposed

Haven't posted for a while but yes I watched it in horror... When the lady who bred Rhodesian Ridgebacks said that she had the pups without a ridge put to sleep but that she had to find an older vet who would still do it, I could have happilly slapped her! These dogs have the equivalent of spina bif...

Three Legs!

Hi Does anyone have a dood who occasionally pees and poos on three legs... Madison doesn't do it all the time and it isn't always the same leg but she will stand on three legs.. The vet gave her a clean bill of health but now I'm thinking mmm is this a hip problem and she is uncomfortable? But would...

Re: Barking mad!

It's a fine line between being a nuisance and natural behaviour. Charlie barks at 'some' passersby and if the door is open I ask her to come in and sit but I dont treat as I just think it will become expected. It is difficult for us as I complained about our neighbours two yappy dogs who were at it ...

Re: Nipping/Biting!

Squealing and yelping doesn't work at all on Madison but she calms down when put behind the baby gate for a few minutes... Comes out again very contrite and sorry for herself and then does it again 5 minutes later. I dont think it helps that she gets excited with Charlie and then transfers that to u...

Re: Toilet Training!

We were very lucky with Madison... now we only have scent marking on Charlie's bed every so often!

Mind you, I think it has a lot to do with when she did go in the house and I shouted so loud to stop her in her tracks that it frightened the living daylights out of her... Did the trick though! :D

Re: Mmmmmmm Chocolate!

Thanks.. we think she is pretty lovely too. I was determined I was going to get a curly dood this time but hey ho, it wasn't to be and besides, there is a lot to be said for the 'scruffies'! Getting a second dood is not without it's heartaches and brings with it a whole new set of situations to deal...
