Dood in a canoe??
Ok you may think I'm crazy, but I want to take Ghillie canoeing!! We have had a bit of a rough time lately but have started a new life in Cornwall and Ghillie is loving it! He loves the water and woodlands and beaches, you name it, there are exciting smells everywhere! When living in Suffolk I didn'...

Haha Ghillie is the opposite! The top of his head is covered with tight poodle curls, the the rest of him is mostly wavy and loose curls! We call it his "poodle noodle"

Re: Picking names.....
Ghillie is named after a big shaggy Highland Bull at the farm me and the OH used to work at! This bull was so huge and big and shaggy but wonderfully gentle, that when we saw this shaggy little puppy, it just seemed to suit him perfectly!

Competition for the biggest doodle!
Ghillie is 9 months old and already 32kg and 27" tall at the shoulders! He's a big boy and still growing!
How big is your dood??!
(Maybe we should do a comp for the smallest too?!)

Re: Leaving him for the first time :(
Phew I'm glad it's not just me then! Luckily the rest of the time he comes with me, and these residential things are only once a year! We have booked a lovely doggy friendly holiday in Cornwall later in the year to make up for it! OH wanted to go abroad and I said I'm not leaving him again! Haha! It...

Leaving him for the first time :(
Going away for work and sadly can't take Ghillie with me this time. I'll be away for 3 nights, 4 days and I'm actually getting quite sad thinking about it! The OH is a freelance camera man, so away a fair bit, and annoyingly will be away at the same time as me, so Ghillie is staying with a home dog ...

Re: So why did you get a doodle?
I've always wanted a big shaggy dog, but always been put off by pedigrees and associated health probs. Last year I changed jobs and started working from from home, so intensified the dog search! As our first dog together, me and the OH thought we'd go for a pup and after looking at various mongrels ...

Re: Argh help! Allergic to Orijen??!
No trouble breathing, first his lower lips became swollen and he developed a large swelling on his top lip/side of face, almost like he had been stung by something, but this evening his eyelids have swollen. He ate various things on raw, chicken, turkey, duck, beef and lamb! Someone suggested it cou...

Argh help! Allergic to Orijen??!
Ghillie has been a poorly boy lately and we have been struggling to work out what's been causing it, first we though he may have been bitten by an adder, then thought it could have been a intestinal blockage, vet gave him steroid injection to reduce swelling, but he's still been vomiting the poor th...
