Re: Barney Issues or Mine....

Hi Maggie , Really sorry to hear you are having a hard time . My kids are 10 & 13 so those last weeks are a dim & dstant memory now but I do remember snapping a lot and feeling sooooo tired . I only had problems with my older labradors weeing inside . It is normally some sort of bladder infection th...

Hi , what a lovely picture . I am not surprised Poppy likes her crate . She looks so snuggly & warm & comfortable in there with lovely thick bed & lots of toys . What more could a doodle want !!

Hi Julie & Aero , Made me laugh as well !!

Sounded like you were in naughty corner !!

What a star Aero is . None of the 1-7 owners would have had such a funny story to tell !! .

Re: 1yr doodle

Hi Cate , I think you are right . My boy came from preloved 6 months ago . his mum clearly loved him - she was in tears when I drove off and has kept in touch to make sure he is ok . However she clearly bit of more than she could cope with . Going from no dogs to a doodle must be a shock to anyone ....

Re: Avoiding wee patches on lawns!

Hi , I had a lot of "burnt" patches last year on my grass from my old labs pee . I used a product from B&Q which you watered in to those areas . It wasnt perfect but made them better . There are several such things on the market . Atleast that doesnt require giving the dog something . I now have a d...

Re: Am I doing the right thing?

What gets me is when they Shout "you need to train your dog" as though that hadnt occurred to us !! Not only do we do training lessons & spend a lot of time at home with the principles I have also taken on a dog that was unwanted and wouldnt be so bad if the original owner had considered training & ...

Re: Training class .. Id really appreciate your thoughts

I would say the say the same as others - find another trainer . We go to training & its all reward based . The trainer always asks before he shows something with someone elses dog . He said this was because he attended training with his GSD years ago and was appalled by similar draconian methods bei...
