Gentle leader or Halti?
To try and save my shoulder sockets I'm thinking of trying a harness over a collar and lead. I've also seen a Gentle Leader, and a lady I stopped the other day had one on her dog who said it was brilliant!
Any pros cons advice please?
Thanks

Best shampoo?
Hi All, Roobarb is a stinky dog as he can't help it launch himself into any depth of water, whether it be a muddy puddle, ditch, river or the sea. I have not washed him that frequently and have so far just used baby no more tears shampoo incase he gets it in his eyes! But I find him quite difficult ...

Re: Helen and Jumble
Hi,
I occasionally walk Roobarb to school but dogs aren't allowed in the playground so we have to wait outside with him, so best check your school's rules on dogs!
I didn't use a crate, but do use stairgates to keep him in the kitchen without having to close the door on him.

Mad loony Roobarb
We went to training again on Tuesday. He was 100% better behaved than the first week, but he was still the noisiest springiest looniest dog there. We were sat next to a very stressed 14wk old Border Collie who unfortunately was winding Roob up by barking at him. He thought she wanted to play and was...

Re: Stairs!
Yep, Roobarb isn't allowed upstairs and he has not tried to go up!
He looks up at us when we go up but he gets told No! I'm sure if I said he could go up there he would, but he doesn't dare!

Re: Is your doodle allowed on the furniture?
Nope!
Not allowed on sofas, not allowed upstairs and definitely not allowed on beds.
When he was little he couldn't get up on the sofas anyway, now he doesn't even try, and if he sets a paw on the bottom stair he looks very guilty, and has never tried to go any further.

Re: I'm psychic me!
Haha, glad it's not just me being dragged along....the scrabbling to get to say Hello to the other dogs is spot on! When he is off lead he is fine with other dogs as he can go see them at will, says hello and then will come straight back to me! He does also sit, and he waits for his food and treats ...

Re: Roobarb is off to school!
Thanks al! We did the puppy socialisation classes when he was tiny and he ran riot then. Now he is 6 months old, he will run riot with me dragging along behind him  He is a good boy really, so plenty of treats and a toy as Bid wisely suggested should keep him in check. He doesn't know it yet bu...
