Re: Where is everyone?

We are here too. We live full time in our narrow boat now,so we don't always have a strong enough signal to make a post.
I do look in as much as I can.

Re: What's the chances.

Not sure they recognised one another. Ted loves all digs and people. Mabel is more indifferent but made friends almost straight away with Monty. We have had a few meets and walks together that is how all this came out. Shame we can't find out about the other six but then again you never know. Ted do...

What's the chances.

We recently sold our house and moved on to our narrow boat. Until the weather bucks up, we are living in a marina. There are some lovely walks around here and Ted and Mable have made some great new doggy buddies. One of their new pals is a labradoodle called Monty. Any way to cut a long story short ...

Re: Captain Sensible

Haha Pollydoodle. I know what you mean. The sides of the boat are lined with wood and when our two get wagging it sounds like a bad drumming lesson. The biggest problem we have with two large doodles is stopping them deciding they need to get in bed with you at about 6am. Its easy in a house just ke...

Re: Nail clipping?

When we got Mabel (She s a rehome ) we noticed, compared to Ted , her nails were long and she bites them. When we took her to the vet I asked about trimming them. The vet said she wouldnt advise this for Mabel because her quicks were close to the edge of her nail and would bleed and hurt and as Mabe...

Talking point.

We are currently on our narrowboat travels. We find it a wonderful thing that our doodles seem to bring pleasure to people we meet. Where ever we are people smile or ask "What are they" or just want to chat. Mabel(we rehomed her almost two years ago) is so different now to when we first took her on....

Re: Puppy overheating? Worried

Hi From One Ted to another. We are currently on our narrowboat with our two Doodles and Yesterday was the first time they couldnt stand it. We moored up in the shade, opened all the windows doors and they were still chuffing and couldnt settle. Ted has a thick wavy coat and Mabel has a tight curly p...

Our dogs love banana. I didnt realise dogs eat fruit till we got Patch(who we lost last year). Patch was a rescue and was found living rough at the back of a pub so we think he had survived on stuff the pub threw out. He would have done anything for melon skin and banana. When we got Ted he picked t...

Hi. What a great start. Your pup seems to have fallen on their paws. Hope it continues. Dont know if this will be any help to you. We re homed Mabel almost 18 mths ago. She was 4 at the time. Also at the time we had Patch (Jack Russell cross age 11) and Ted (labradoodle age 3). Mabel was nervous of ...

Run rabbit run !

Ted and Mabel have proved to us this morning that Doodles are not the best hunters in the world. Also we never have a camera when we need one. We were out on the fields this morning when Mabel spotted a rabbit, she shot off at a great speed. So fast she ran right over the rabbit, who looked and hopp...

Hello from our Holidays!

For the first time in ages we have a strong enough signal to be able to post. We are still on our canal boat and having a brill time. As some of you know we got Mabel last October from a Rescue centre in Yorkshire. She seemed to be nervous of everything. I was a bit worried in May when we set off on...
