Re: Favourite Photos!

This is Harvey - he's 1 today!! I like this photo of him because it shows how his coat has changed. He started off as all black except white toes. Now, the top of his head is almost entirely silver, and the rest of his body has silver hairs, but you can also see chocolate colours in his fur when the...

Re: Recall help

Thanks Bid. He's actually changed quite a lot since those photos were taken - look at him now. Can't believe it's the same dog. He's turning ginger

Re: Recall help

Joxo, you could be talking about me and Harvey - seriously. Exactly the same issues - he's the same age too. Really good to hear I'm not the only one with a mad dog. The other people at puppy class call him the 'hooligan', which I take exception too - but they never see him walking beautifully to he...

Re: SLEEP

I agree with suebedo, that sounds like a lot of exercise for a 6-month-old puppy, but if that's what he's used to, it might take a while to change his routine - perhaps worth a try though. Maybe his legs are aching and he wants to have a stretch - just a thought. We use a crate too, and Harvey loves...

It's 75cm x 150cm. Still not sure it's big enough for husband traipsing indoors with his muddy wellies

Re: Doodle meet in Norfolk in October - maybe Holkham beach?

I'm in the Norfolk doodlers facebook group, so if you decided on a definite time and date I could always post the event up for you and see who could come along.

Thanks for that. I'll put my order in before the weather turns and the mud starts to take over!

Re: Doodle meet in Norfolk in October - maybe Holkham beach?

Hi there We live in mid-Norfolk and are happy to have any excuse to go to the coast. Holkham is fab, and as Sally said, at that time of year it's good parking at Wells. You can walk as far as you like on the beach towards Holkham, then turn round and come back the same way or wind your way through t...

Turtle mats revisited...

Has anyone got one of the long runners? Does it fit into your washing machine? I thought it might be a better solution for our utility room than two smaller ones, but no good if I can't wash it!

Re: Barking

This thread caught my eye today. Harvey is 8 months old, and has just started to bark at everything, just like everyone else has mentioned. Postman, neighbours in their garden, people walking past, imaginary people walking past etc. etc. Maybe it's something that happens at around this age. Did anyo...

Thanks Julie, all useful stuff. I like the idea of the "I'm on holiday" tag, I think I might get some for my boys too

Doodling in Dorset

Hello, we're off to Dorset at the end of July for 2 weeks, first time in a holiday cottage with Harvey. A bit anxious about losing our normal routine - just hope he behaves! Any tips for managing a dog in a holiday cottage? Not even sure what 'managing' I will need to do until we get there! I know t...

Is he really that clever?!

Harvey is supposed to poo in a fenced-off bit of our large garden so it doesn't end up everywhere, but inevitably when he's out in the rest of the garden and I'm not paying attention, he poos anywhere he wants. I've started marking it with toy traffic cones which we have out in the garden (for boys'...

Is there any reason why you use goat's yoghurt? Is there a problem with cow's?

Re: Boisterous doodle around nervous dog...

Hi. yes, we've been going to puppy classes for 12 weeks now. He's still very boisterous there (someone called him the hooligan of the class recently which annoyed me - he's just being a doodle and loving life!). He is getting better though - last week was a bit of a breakthrough in behaviour when he...
