Re: 6 months old and get quite aggressive and bites.

What about trying time out with Daisy when she is being very boisterous? Jak used to have his manic time normally in the evening when he was a pup and sometimes we would all get a bit fed up with it. We all tried squealing loudly when he would be a bit bitey but this only excited him all the more :?...

Re: 6 months old and get quite aggressive and bites.

Sound advice from everyone, and I would also add that what has worked for us (and still continues to do) is playing brain games. Walking physically tires them out, but it helps as well to get their brains working. A book that I can recommend is.. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brain-Games-Dogs-provide-stim...

Re: Is my boy turning into a bully?

Thank you everyone for your really helpful and supportive posts. You guys always give the best advice and it all helps me to help him be the happy relaxed dood that I know he is :) With regards to the Pet Corrector; I haven't yet bought one but I will, not necessarily to use to correct his behaviour...

Re: Is my boy turning into a bully?

Thank you Bid.
Do you have any training techniques that you think may help in a positive way? Something magical would be great but I know that it comes down to patience and persistence. Aarghhh

Re: Is my boy turning into a bully?

Right... I will buy the Pet Corrector tomorrow and let you know how we get on with it. Better practice my quick retrieve :D although I would prefer to be able to sort this out the old fashioned way. I don't think that there are any doodle walking groups in Woking Surrey but I would be happy to be co...

Is my boy turning into a bully?

My almost 2yrs old doodle has developed a bit of an attitude - read bully - when out walking. He is a very good boy for most of the time. Recall is good as is walking by my side. He takes commands well and is a big ball of mush with us and the family, so no problems there. In the last month or so (c...

Re: behaviour issues?

Thank you Bid and Anne. Good advice as per usual, and Anne, yes I was aware of the Dangerous Dog Act, hence my need to nip this behaviour in the bud asap.
Back to basics then

behaviour issues?

I wonder if anyone may be able to throw some light on the behaviour of our lovely boy. He is coming up to 14mths and was *done* in April (all went well). He has a long off lead walk, where he does all the happy normal doggy stuff except when there are joggers or cyclists about - I understand that th...

Re: 1-2-1 home dog boarding

Hi Lolly - thank you so much for your reply, I really appreciate it :D

Would we be able to get together in the new year, so that you and Ralph could have a meet and greet with Jak?

Best wishes Gaynor

1-2-1 home dog boarding

Would anybody be able to recommend a 1-2-1 home dog boarder for the area of Woking/Guildford area? We have a lovely 8month old Golden Labradoodle who (like all these doodles) is pampered and adored, and we need someone loving, to look after him for a weeks holiday in February. Our previous dog (not ...

Re: What did you pay for your labradoodle?

After an exhausting amount of research and talking to different breeders, we eventually found *the one* but also she chose us. Very precious about where and who her pups where going to,rightly so, and I know that she will also put respective buyers off if she feels that they are not right. There is ...

Re: Tips for training "quiet" ?

Jean...just watched the link "love your dog". It makes sense, but I wonder if it will confuse, or should I say, I will confuse the pup! :? How old was Bella when you taught her and how long before she got it or is it a case of continued training?
