Re: Has everyone abandoned ship?

Well hello everyone. It's been a long time since I last popped in and life has changed a bit. We now live by the sea in Christchurch, Dorset and have 1.5 acres for the doods to run around in. For the last year, we have been fostering doodles for the Doodle Trust. Our last foster was/is a little blac...

Re: Aggression in 14 week old

Hi, Wondered how you were getting on in your search for a new home. Have the DT been able to offer any assistance? We recently moved from Uxbridge / Denham so am guessing that we were quite local to you. The Dogs Trust is also near to Heathrow as well - Harefield (I'm sure that you know that but you...

Re: woofability

So to summarise what I saw: They do not actually have the correct accreditation to be true assistance dogs. They have dogs that are very hungry and underweight according to Dr Roger Mugford. The dogs are not well trained The set up in the training area was not well set up Alan Clarke is personally a...

Re: woofability

The trailer that was on BBC South tonight certainly looks like the charity has problems.

Since moving down here I have seen at least one woof ability dog with a wheelchair user but was only passing in the street so didn't see the dog actually have to do any work.

Re: Settled-almost

Yay! You survived!

Glad you have settled in. We moved end of July and still have a mountain of boxes in the stable. We had to take down a wall to get some furniture into one room but luckily not a whole house re-model like you.

What is phase 2 then? What else are you going to do?

Re: Hello from Tilly

There is no better 50th birthday present. Fozzie was mine and we got Florence 3 months later for my husband (but it was his 52nd birthday).

They bring us joy every single day.

Re: dog onesie for drying a wet doodle - K9 clean coats?

These are my two in their onesies http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/q782/Fozzie_Bristow/image_zpsd6d9032d.jpg I haven't got any photos of them in their equafleeces. I think I got the onesies from zooplus. The equafleece we bought at a dog show so that we could try them on before we bought. We do a...

Re: dog onesie for drying a wet doodle - K9 clean coats?

We have onesies for our two for when it is really wet and muddy. It is more for my benefit to keep them a little cleaner than theirs! We also have an equafleece for them which we put on after a big swim on a chilly day, especially if we are going to sit outside a cafe for a bit. Florence in particul...

Re: Doodlefest here we come...!

We camped with the Southern Softies, it was a long drive this year after our move to Dorset but the 200 miles were worth it to see the doods running wild wiv joy with their friends. Leads on, on Saturday in the show ground but it was very warm again this year with cool costs needed. We even got our ...

Re: Cooling mats?

I have a confession to make. Last year when it was very very hot, I got one of the dogs aqua sorb drying towels (the one that feels like synthetic leather) run it under the tap and wrung it out. I then put it over me when I got into bed and had a good night's sleep for the first time in days. I did ...

Re: Cooling mats?

We don't have mats but be have cooling coats. They were used a lot last summer, especially at Doodlefest where it was unbearably hot. Have only had them out for one week so far this summer. The doods don't appear concerned about wearing them and you can see the difference the coats make to them. One...

Of course you can Dee, Mel with Ronnie has also asked the same thing this morning and probably Laura and Vicky with Bertie and Murray :D Sounds like the Southern Softies are going to get together. Speaking of which we need to sort out Doodlefest and if we are eating together again. See you over on F...
