Re: Miniature labradoodle

Ozzy was classed as a 'miniature' however I would feel slightly embarrassed when people would ask me what he was and I would reply "He's a miniature labradoodle" and they would just look at me slightly confused...so now I just stick with "He's a labradoodle" Ozzy is 16 months now and stands at aroun...

Re: How to make dry food more appealing

Ozzy is extremely fussy, which doesn't help when he's on Royal Canin Hypoallergenic dry food!! I pour hot water onto his and let is soak in, which he seems to prefer to it being completely dry. But I feel the same as you - he is so bored of the same food day after day!! In my personal opinion I woul...

I'll be interested in this too as Ozzy gets very smelly ears!

Should he be neutered??

Hello everyone, I have a feeling this topic may have been discussed several times...however, I am looking for advice as to whether to get my doodle neutered. I know it is also a personal preference, but I just want to know what you all think. Ozzy is now 14 months old, he suffers with his belly (cur...

Re: Why does our dog want to destroy everything!

Can't offer tips I'm afraid - my dood does exactly the same.

His favorite toy to destroy is 'ducky'. He's had at least 5 from Pet @ Home (they're the squeaky pheasants!) and just loves ripping a hole in them and pulling out all the fluff!!!

Re: Any suggestions to improve this diet?

This is definitely something I want to aim to get Ozzy on once I have his tummy problems under control.

What probiotics is Stout on? Oz has just been prescribed the powder version of Pro-kolin - but he's not too sure of it once I have mixed it in his food.

Re: IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease)

I took Ozzy to the vets yesterday for a check up and to see if the poo results have come back. He hasn't put any weight on, he is still 20.5kg and his results have yet to come back. I was only saying to the vet yesterday how well Ozzy is doing (poo's are a lot better, not 100%) and how he seems to b...

Re: IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease)

I handed in Oz's poo samples on Friday, he has a follow up appointment on Wednesday - so hopefully I will have the results then. I also popped him on the scales on Friday too, and he has already put a little bit of weight back on. I think the next steps are the endoscopy (I am not looking forward to...

Re: IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease)

Hi Jo, thanks for getting back to me. It's nice to be able to get support from the forum, especially from people who have had experience with things like this. It seems Jasper has had abit of a rough ride, but you've clearly been able to support him and give him food which agrees with him. The vet s...

IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease)

Ozzy has suspected IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) He's on metronidazole for the next few days, plus pro-kolin. I have to get 3 stool samples from him over 3 days, as they want to rule out any other possible reasons for his tummy upsets, but she said it's more than likely IBD. He is also on Royal C...

Re: My poorly Ozzy :(

Suspected IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) He's lost nearly a kg of weight too, my poor little man. He's on metronidazole for the next few days, plus pro-kolin. I have to get 3 stool samples from him over 3 days, as they want to rule out any other possible reasons for his tummy upsets, but she...

Re: My poorly Ozzy :(

Unfortunately Ozzy is poorly again. Over the last month or so, his poo hasn't been 'normal'. He hasn't gone a day without having a loose poo. The first poo of the day is normal, it's formed perfectly  but then throughout the day, they get progressively worse to the point where is is just liqui...

Re: Coconut Oil

Yes I got mine from Holland & Barratt - I also got some coconut oil shampoo and conditioner for me and it's so nice!!

Ozzy to eat it off the spoon, I am gradually introducing it to him - I can't wait to see the benefits of it.

Re: What's a good quality food at a reasonable cost.

My 11 month doodle is on Burns Sensitive kibble (Pork & Potato) which I put down in the morning for him - he normally likes to have a mouthful now and again throughout the morning. He then has a tablespoon on cottage cheese at lunchtime, and for dinner he has a tray of naturesdiet. I find this works...
