Re: Hello

We got our Sam from galloway labradoodles. Not sure how near that is to you?. They have a website full of info and I couldn't recommend them enough. I've met a couple of other galloway labradoodles and they've all been fab dogs. He was I think under £700 and is a small medium - not sure if that's a ...

Re: Paddy doesn't like his dog walker

Hi I see a lot of professional dog walkers at our local big country park and I always thought if we needed one that approaching one when out with Sam would be a good way of getting the contacts of one who Sam seemed to like, plus I could get a good feel for what they're like with all the dogs when a...

Re: Does anyone have any idea why...

Hi
I can't remember how old she is. Is she still on 4 meals a day?. If so, maybe she could move to 3, so her final poo is out earlier?. I think from memory that made a difference with Sam.
Good luck

Re: Advice on crating and getting puppy to settle in please

Hi We had a similar issue with our dog Sam. We spent a month with an open crate attached to a pen and every night Sam would climb out the pen and bark all night. After 3 weeks or so of this we tried the close crate at night and I would sit near him for 10 mins or so when first in. This stopped the n...

Re: Recall

Aww, sorry your dood is putting you through the mill. I guess he must love the adrenalin of running off but yes it sounds like the long lead is a necessity. Dogs seem to have no road sense even the most dependable ones. Hope a bit more long lead time might make the difference.

Re: Free the Wyre One!!!

Your comment about infusion litters prompted me to do some further reading and I came across this .. http://alaa-labradoodles.com/InfusionGuidelines.html So if I'm reading correctly, infusion ALD's are not required to be early Spayed or neutered.. Unless a specific requirement of the individual bree...

Re: Free the Wyre One!!!

Am I the only person who's puppy escaped the pen?. Every night, even the extra tall one we got he would climb out and destroy the kitchen. I filmed him once and he used his little claws to climb up the wire like a car. Little monkey!

Re: House trained?

Sandra, Things any better?. It's easy to get stressed by it and worry it will never happen but it all comes right in the end. Is she able to go out walks yet?. Once that happens, you can start to have a lot of fun with her which might de-stress things a bit. I thinks it's natural to feel one step fo...

I use liver cake for high value treats. I make a slab and cut it into tiny cubes. I only use it for whistle recall . It's made with chicken liver, eggs and flour. Sam loves it ! And works out pretty cheap .

Re: Looking for summer puppies

We got Sam from Galloway labradoodles. He's a medium back cross. ( labradoodle mum and poodle dad). Sam as a pup was the only non- curly one in the litter. They're not Australlian labradoodles, not sure if that's a priority or not. Also heard good things about Lomondhills and Tora- both in Scotland ...
