Re: Reliable Goldendoodle Breeders?

Friends speak very highly of this goldendoodle breeder, although it’s a long way from you. http://www.donakellgoldendoodles.co.uk Have you considered an Australian labradoodle though as many come from therapy llines and are fantastic (patient and calm) with autistic children? Our boy is such and he ...

Re: Australian Labradoodle breeders Scotland

Hello!

I have a Tora dood. I highly recommend this breeder and would go back in a heartbeat.

I’m not sure how to attach a photo otherwise I would. Do these links work?

Re: Hi , excercise advice

Forgot to say there is a doodle dash at Scolty on Sunday 15 April at 11am if you’d like to come. There are at least 30 doods normally, but can be many more.

Ha! Ha! I live in Banchory itself. I have two Labradoodles - chocolate and. Cream and regularly walk in Corsee woods/Crathes/Scolty/Potarch so I might see you around.

Welcome to the forum! Whereabouts in north east Scotland do you live? If it’s near Aberdeen, they have doodle meets once or twice a month at the local beaches/parks. If you’re on Facebook, you could join the group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1459206951055724/ Moray also have a similar group. X

Re: Grooming advice

Very cute! I also have an F1 very similar looking to yours. Can I ask where you got her? Anyway, I would look at food first as a poor quality diet may cause skin issues. What do you give her? This website is great for evaluating and pricing food allaboutdogflod.co.uk. I bathe sometimes daily, someti...

Re: Labrador v labradoodle temperement

Hello and welcome! I have one of each - a mini poodle/lab cross and an Australian labradoodle. Although they are both great dogs, my Aussie doodle is calmer, more cuddly and easier all round. He also doesn’t shed. Many are bred from therapy lines. They do cost quite a bit though! Good luck with what...

We have a Hyundai Santa Fe 4x4 which works well for two biggish dogs. They even have their own air con in the boot!

Hello

If you are on Facebook, there is a group called 'Doodles for Rehoming' which do sterling work. Also, you could try the Doddle Trust.

Good luck in your search for your special friend.

Re: Comfortis?

The studies were flawed as only some dogs showed a reaction to garlic and onions and only in massive quantities. Garlic in particular, is very good for dogs in low quantities. A clove a day can help prevent infection and deter critters from jumping on board. Dorwest even do two different garlic supp...

Also, if you're on Facebook, have a look at the group 'does Bravetc kill dogs?' Scary stuff and enough to put anyone off giving these flea tablets.

Re: Comfortis?

I think they're only available from vets. Mine charger£32 and I don't need to see the vet as they know my dogs. It lasts 6-8 months, but a bit less if the collar gets wet regularly.

It's not ideal, as it's still chemicals, but it is our preferred solution.

Re: Comfortis?

We have a huge problem with ticks, rather than fleas. These beasties are dangerous rather than just annoying. My son has Lyme disease so I have become an expert in prevention. I tried the natural route for a while with many supplements or sprays. Although reasonably effective, ticks were still evide...

Re: Buying a Labradoodle puppy

That sounds like an awful lot of money, for an F1 although I am not exatly one to talk having paid £1500 for an Australian labradoodle, and then again £550 for my F1 mini Labradoodle. What drew you to Kimberlenes in particular?
