Re: Following us out of the room

An update. Tilly is now 8 months and no longer trys to rush out of the room with us most of the time. For me she is very good and stays when I tell her. If I am away for work though she still does it when my wife is by herself. I think that's a separate issue though due to her being "my dog" and wit...

Re: Tilly has an upset tummy

Just an update to say Tilly has been fine for months now. Changing to Simpsons 80/20 puppy food made a massive difference to her digestion altogether over Eukanuba (which was what she came from the breeders with). Firm stools, very little farting and no horrible do breath anymore. May have been coin...

Re: Different labradoodle coats - confused!

Everyone always talks about three coat types scruffy (hair), wool and fleece but there is a fourth which is like a lab with a slightly thicker coat. Alfie above has this as does my Tilly. Thicker on the back than the sides as well.

Re: Tilly has an upset tummy

She is much better today. Ears no longer plastered to the side of her head and tale wagging again. She is eating rice and chicken like a good un.
I have ordered some Simpsons 80/20 puppy food and we are going to try her on that instead of Eukanuba.

Re: Tilly has an upset tummy

Vet rang this morning first thing to say she's much brighter this morning. No vomiting and has had a small meal. Small amount of blood in her stools apparently and she is still very loose but nothing to worry about. I could hear her barking in the background which is good as she was silent all yeste...

Re: Tilly has an upset tummy

First vet wasn't happy with her and sent us to the main practice about 12 miles away and they have put her on a drip and are going to X-ray her to see if she has swallowed something. It is probably just gastroenteritis but better safe than sorry. She is staying at the vets overnight. We have only ha...

Re: Tilly has an upset tummy

Squity bum again since last night. Only ate half her breakfast and doesn't want her lunch at all. She did wolf down two Canikur tablets though and is drinking well so will just see if it clears up again. Not noticed her eating anything horrid this time but in the stubble field opposite the house you...

Re: Tilly has an upset tummy

I had forgotten that our next door neighbour is a retired vet - how useful is that ! Spoke to her and she said starve for a day as food is doing no good anyway then give her boiled rice and chicken for a couple of days. I also ordered some Caniker tablets which should come tomorrow. Tilly is sat on ...

Tilly has an upset tummy

Tilly has an upset tummy. Since yesterday afternoon her stools have been runny. Up until now they have been nice and firm. We haven't changed her food or the amount. She did manage to grab a dead an maggoty mouse on Sunday night on her walk which we got off her but it had been in her mouth. She is f...

Re: Following us out of the room

An update: Since yesterday all of a sudden she has started to get better with this. If she is snoozing her head still snaps up as you go to leave the room but often she doesn't move. If she is properly awake she walks towards the door but doesn't try and rush out after you or through your legs. Abou...

I see fence building in my near future. I have a load of pallets though I can recycle as a fence, just need some fence posts.

Smart dog !

I put Tilly in her pen/crate this morning for some alone time practice and left her with a stuffed Kong. Went to do some work in my office (attached to the house). I though wow were doing great today just a little barking when I went in to get a coffee. Then after a couple of hours lots of braking. ...
