Re: Runny poos

Poos are still runny...She does a lot f eating outside. It's tricky because I don't want to harass her constantly about it. I'm not sure if it's just that causing it although poo has previously been fine. About the fruit and veg yeah she has tuna about once/twice (less than quarter of can) a small a...

Runny poos

Looking for advice .....Emily has really runny poo (like gravy) with some blood streaks. We had her at vet who said it might be a parasite. Any ideas what we should do about her diet? Should we go back to just dry food? She has some fruit and veg each day and sometimes some egg or tuna. Been doing t...

Re: Emily still nipping

Thanks again everyone. Another couple of weeks on we are still in the same place..... I do wonder if we are not being firm with the no more play. It's tricky when it's the kids she nips who haven't necessarily been playing with her. Would you recommend just putting her in her crate following this ki...

Re: Emily still nipping

Thank you so much for all of your reples. We are complete puppy novices (in case you didn't know :D :D )so we are feeling a bit lost. Yesterday we did threaten her with going back to the breeders.... I think the sleep thing is worth a try. She has been a bit better today with being put in her crate ...

Re: Emily still nipping

Suzi, Thank you so much for taking the time to write that reply. I really appreciate all the help and advice I have had on her. I read your old post and have taken hope from it. I think using time out with the kong might be my next trick. I don,t think we have found what works for her yet...back to ...

Re: Emily still nipping

Anne, Thanks so much for your reply. It is reassuring to hear. I think she must have realised she had overstepped the mark. A very humble Emily has come out of her crate and fallen asleep beside me on the rug. When you used to put your dood in the crate did you close it? I had read somewhere not too...

Re: Emily still nipping

Hello, It's us again. A very dejected/disappointed mummy to Emily. So the growl/clap worked for wait for it......a day they hasn't really worked since. As someone said at times she thinks it's a game. I'm really at my wits end with her. I was under the impression before we had her that ladradoodles ...

Re: Introducing Eddy!

Rachael, We are at the same stage as you but possibly having slightly less fun....Emily is almost 12 weeks and not such a sweet nature. I have 3 little ones the youngest being 3. Emily really makes it her mission in like to nip the life out of them. It wasn't so bad at first but as she has grown it ...

Raw food for puppy

So as a new doodle mummy I'm learning everyday. Today I was speaking to a dog trainer who was telling me the huge benefits of raw feeding. It completely makes sense but feels like a huge responsibility... Does anyone have good websites where I can do more research? She is only 10 weeks at the minute...

Re: Emily still nipping

We have had a dog trainer come and spend 3 hours with us at our house. He has given us lots of tips and confidence that with consistency things will improve. A lot of what he said was commander sense but he gave us a tip for negative behaviour and it has helped already. He encouraged us to growl and...

Re: Emily still nipping

Thanks so much for your replies everyone. I have started to squeal when she bites me and the kids. I am concerned at the increasing force of them. She caught me earlier and it was really quite sore. I just want to know we are doing the right thing to help her become a lovable wee girl. I can't wait ...

Re: Emily still nipping

Thanks suzi, we will start to use off and see if that helps. She is a great wee girl and so much fun so I'm sure we will get there. The only other problem we have is that she won't sleep past 5 am. ....yawn!! She whines in her crate even after she has been out to the toilet. Any tips ? Gillian and e...

Emily still nipping

Hello everyone, We are just one week in with our emily. It has been hard work but I'm hoping it will start to pay off.. Our biggest problem is nipping. We have been trying to replace with toys but sometimes that's not working. Her nips are also getting a bit stronger and a couple of time been accomp...
