Re: Sudden aggression towards some dogs
Hi, sorry for the delayed response. I have found out that the Springer is about the same age & also entire (which, as daft as it may seem, I didn't realise at the time), so that probably explains that one. ( I assume it was a dominance thing.) One of the others was a neutered dog. He seems to...

Re: Sudden aggression towards some dogs
Funny but I've heard a few times about Doodles not being keen on Springers. Unfortunately, though it was a Springer last night, the day before it was a little bitsa and a couple of days before that a bulldog.

Sudden aggression towards some dogs
Woody is 15 months now and has grown in to a beautiful, confident and (usually) extremely friendly boy. He is quite large (about 26kg I think) but not massive compared to some Doodles. He's doing ok with training ( but obviously has his 'deaf' moments) and everyone in the neighbourhood knows him and...

Searching for siblings from Norfolk
Hi,
Our Woody was a puppy of Amber & Parker in Norfolk, born 14th June 2016. Whilst I still send occasional pics to the breeder, I'd love to find any of his siblings & maybe see some pics.

Re: Jumping up, but only indoors.
Thanks for your tips (& reassurance that Doods have such similar traits & we're not alone!) The consistency aspect certainly seems to be the reoccurring theme. In which case I guess I need to just carry on & eventually it should come. I know what you mean Doodle Dee.......perhaps I Need to tra...

Jumping up, but only indoors.
as a young pup Woody would bound up to everyone & jump up for some fuss. We addressed this by getting people to ignore him & we would give him a treat upon sitting (& he'd get the fuss he was after.) it worked at treat & no more problems when out. 8) The difficulty we are still having ( Woody being ...

Re: Crate training and sizes
Hi.
We got a large crate with a divider for our puppy so he could use just half of the crate when small & grow in to it without us having to spend out on a second one. (Pitty he wouldn't use it & it sits nicely in our spare room!

Re: Puppy Toilet Training advice
Hi. Our Dood has just turned 8 months. We didn't use pads either. As others, took him out very regularly. We walked around the garden with no real interaction with him. He would follow & as trotting around when the urge took him he would go. At this point we interacted &,gave him praise. I also woul...

Looks great Jonb.
We are currently planning our extension & a food shower in the utility was added to the plans for the same reasons as everyone else experiences. I'd be really keen for any tips / advice regarding things you wish you'd considered. ( seems a shower curtain may be one?

Re: Hello
Hi & welcome! We got our first Doodle in August at 8 weeks. The couple of weeks before were so exciting your house must be brining with smiles! When we got Woody home we were very careful to let him sleep / chill away from us, without pestering him every few minutes, or giving him strokes / cuddles ...

Re: Epic Food Fail.
   no advice I am sorry, but just to say I did a similar thing a while ago. Instead of ordering our parrot a 2.5kg bag of food, I brought him 25kg (he is the same size as a large blackbird  ). The price didn't give it away coz his normal food is expensive   OMG! I ...

Re: Epic Food Fail.
Tbh I think there is very little difference..........., and the analysis shows protein at 29% - exactly the same as the large breed puppy food! Great Thanks Bid. I've looked through the analysis, (odd as looking on the Zooplus site the stats are slightly different to those you mention, about 3% dif...

Epic Food Fail.
Hi everyone, I'm in need of some opinions / advice, after a shopping error please. I buy Woody's food from Zooplus & get it delivered. He has Arden Grange large breed puppy food. On Sunday I ordered his new 12kg bag & thought I'd be a lovely mum & get him slightly different flavour as I noticed a ch...

Re: Recall
Lambs heart is my recall treat of choice! ( or should I say Woody's choice). I use it especially for training. I also hide from him and on the occasions he doesn't come back immediately, I turn and run in the opposite direction. (So far he spots that & comes chasing after me very quickly.) I then ad...
