Re: GENTLE LEADER

The Canac Gentle Leader one can be bought on ebay petshops for about £5 too. We got one for our one year old standard doodle a few months ago and its honestly the best thing we ever did - its made the walks enjoyable again! Our 3 year old miniature still pulls on the lead despite years of continuous...

Re: Weather forecast for Dorset anybody??

Hiya Mrs Admin To be honest I haven't got a clue what he weighs!! He hasnt been to the vets since his puppy jabs and was a year old on 27th Jan. He has no fat on him though, and hasn't really started filling out yet - I reckon he's only about 25kg at the moment. The fatty mini doodle is 19.4 kilos -...

Re: Weather forecast for Dorset anybody??

Thanks very much for the offer of dog-minding Bid- what you don't know is that my avator pic is old - it shows Ruby our 3 year old miniature doodle but it doesnt show our one year old 27" tall standard doodle on it!! They're a handful together - wouldnt dream of imposing them on you :? http://i883.p...

Re: Weather forecast for Dorset anybody??

Thanks very much for the replies everybody - and the weather links - I'll keep an eye on it :D Don't really mind if its cold as we can wrap up and it might mean a few less visitors in there - just didnt want snow as it would make the driving etc a nightmare, just hope the monkeys don't mind the cold...

We are up in Cheshire but are hoping to come down to Dorset to visit Monkey World next week -we've never been and our daughter is obsessed with the TV programm...

Re: Do people take their dogs into town

I was just speaking about this with my husband today. We have two dogs, 3 year old Ruby, who's a miniature doodle and one year old Oscar who's a standard. When we only had Ruby we were able to take her everywhere with us, town centres, seasides promenades, annual events in the park etc. Now that we ...

Re: Any advice on how to stop teenage dog weeing on his legs!!!

Liz Thanks for the"Pawplunger" link. I've got a cheaper version - my mop bucket!! Poor Oscar has taken to lifting his front legs every time he sees me approach him with it. I fill it with warm water and a little dog shampoo and lift each of his front legs in turn into it - quickest way to clean his ...

Any advice on how to stop teenage dog weeing on his legs!!!

This is a bit of a wierd one but I am at the end of my tether! We have Oscar, an 8 month old F2 large fleece labradoodle,as well as Ruby, our almost 3 year old choc miniature. Since the age of 10 weeks, Oscar has been lifting his leg to wee - and EVERY SINGLE TIME, he aims and wees all over his fron...

Re: Dogs 4 Us petition PLEASE SIGN!!

Me and husband both just signed. When we went to the one in Manchester it was AWFUL! A spaniel puppy that was being `viewed' by a young couple actually had a fit whilst they were holding it. The assistant merely took it to the `sick' area and offered them another one to hold! I had a peep into the s...

Re: Ok so how do i get Marli to wee on the patio !!!!!!!!

Hi, Don't know if this will work for Marli but when we did the same (fenced off the lawn from the paved area of the garden to stop Ruby destroying the lawn) she also wouldnt wee at first. We got around it by cutting a piece of the lawn/turf where she did most wees and putting it on the paved area! A...

Re: Would You Get Married?

Hi We moved in together 4 months after meeting, engaged after 6, married after 12 months. Bought our first house which was a total DUMP so couldnt afford to have big wedding - we went to Cyprus (I even hired my wedding dress :? )! It was great and I wouldn't change anything - this was 11 years ago n...
