Re: NW Branch Meet :) - Noon - Sunday 22nd June - Brereton Woods

On current plans we should be able to make it, as we are only in Congleton - ie. 5 mins up the road. There is a main car park at Brereton Country Park, with an open area of grass adjacent to it, which would make a good meeting point. NOTE that it is Pay and Display at this car park. You can park on ...

Re: Things your Doodle does that make you laugh?

Our boy will latch on to the end of his tail and circle fast! He will do this around one of our legs as well. That's a bit dodgy now as he's touching 30" at the shoulder... He'll also do this party piece around my 4 year old daughter. The more you laugh, the more he does it. Need to catch it on film...

Re: KIMBERLENES

A bit slow adding ourselves to this thread - but Dillon is yet another one of the Pooch clan, and Buttercup is his mother. So Max and Alfie are both Dillon's brothers! Trying to remember how many were in the litter, when we went there was only Dillon and a little girl left.

Re: Northwest Meet?

Hello Helen & Helen (and of course the doodles) - we live in Congleton too, with our doodle Dillon. So would love to have a mini meet at some time. We walk up the Cloud sometimes. Most of our walks are around Astbury Mere, as we live right next to it. Dill is 11 months old now, and still completely ...

Re: Sibling rivalry between doods and children

My only daughter was just 4 years old when Dillon arrived in the household, and there has definitely been sibling rivalry! She goes through periods of time when she can be quite mean to him, but then it calms down. That said, she loves him to bits and I'm sure she'll grow out of it. I'm looking forw...

Re: Pulling on the lead

I did the stop, stand and change direction with Dill on his very first walks, and he now walks brilliantly on the lead. Backed up now with treats for 'healing' too.

Of course if there's someone/thing truly exciting to be seen - then I'm dragged with the best of them!

Re: Weeping sores on her belly

Dillon had a similar condition on his belly a couple of months ago. He had just come back from a few days in boarding kennels. I thought it might of been ringworm - as the kennels are on a working dairy farm. I took him to the vets and she told me it is a common condition caused by a bacteria that u...

Re: Your Labradoodle names

Dill was named by my 4 year old as 'Dill the Dog' from the Herbs (she's been watching very old videos...). He is given the full title of Dillon, which means 'faithful' in Gaelic, especially when being bad...

And he's often called 'Dilly Dan Doodle'!!

Re: KIMBERLENES

Dillon was born on the 08/02/07 . Mum was Buttercup and dad was Pooch , which makes him an F1b too. I went to Steve looking for a little girl and came back with the BIG bouncy boy. He does have really mad moments (he'll leap over anyone with the slightest encouragement), but he is also a very laid b...

Your pictures are brilliant - all we have are pictures of tails exiting left, right etc.

Love the picture of Dill chasing Evie.

Great to meet you all - and looking forward to the next one.

Re: North West doodle meet?

We all had a great time at the beach meet. Lovely to meet everyone - furry and human. Dill thoroughly enjoyed himself, and is still in recovery! Apolgies to all that were on the soggy receiving end of his 'over-enthusiasm' It was great to meet Max (poodle boy treat stealer...) as Dill's full ...

Hello Sharon - we too have a Kimberlenes doodle and he's also 6 months old. Born on the 08/02/07. Mum Buttercup and dad Pooch. I know there was another litter born very close to this date, but it would be great to find a sister out there! Our boy is called Dillon.

Looking forward to seeing pics!

Still hoping to make it on Sunday too. Will try and make it for 11am (or earlier) to avoid some of the traffic. Looking forward to meeting everyone - still sure that Dillon will behave badly! Since a trip to Scotland he sees beaches as a foraging exercise...
