Re: Does anyone have a Boot Buddy?

We have one for our Vectra estate and I think it's great. WIth two big doods who can find water in the desret, it's certainly saving the car. Easy to fit, easy to clean, easy to take out if required, hard wearing. I think they're well worth the money. We also got the non-slip mat and the bumper prot...

Re: Boot liners?

Within a week for ours. Wouldn't be without it now. You can just pull it out of the boot and hose it all down. They're great.

Re: Photographing Black doods - some thoughts

Hi, it's a challenge, but it can be done. Dial in a stop ot two of positive exposure compensation and use weighted metering. Don't wory about blowing the highlights in the rest of the shot, it's the subject that's important. Shoot with the sun behind you, or on a cloudy day, or in a little shade. Sh...

Re: Territory and who is top dog...

Hi, A dog wagging his tail isn’t always a good sign. It can mean “get out of my face, I’ve had enough”. Look at the rest of the body language. Head down, tense, still? Also, not all dogs want to play with other dogs, some are more solitary and prefer their own company. It’s not always down to a lack...

See above...

It's a rigid box shape that folds up and is attaced to each side with velcro. They are custom made to each cars spec.

Re: Does your dood do this?

We use Dylans natural gundog type instinct to carry soft toys as a way of dealing with his aggressive sounding (and looking) way of greeting visitors. We ask him to “fetch a present” so he goes to the toy box and grabs a toy to carry around for a few minutes. This stops him from barking and generall...

Re: Boot liners?

Have a look on google for bootbuddy.

We bought one with the non-slip mat and bumper protector. It's great. Sticks to the existing boot lining with no problems. A little pricey, but well worth it.

Re: How do you tire out your doodle?

I think mental work tires them out more than physical. Try to do something that'll make Eska think REALLY hard. After an hours training, our two come back and sleep like the dead.

Re: Spray Commander

I used one for Fozzie's "hoover" impressions when out and about. Great for three days, then he just got used to it. If you have a sensitive dog, they work well, but if you have the confident type, then they just become hardened to it. Also, if your dog has a full coat, the cold spray has very little...

Re: Dylan's a gold dog....

Thanks everyone. Yeah I was so proud of the little fella, and of Fozz, who's been a fantastic role model. To Kate. Dylans previous owners had turned him into a wreck. He was terrified of anyone raising a hand. He was dog and people aggresive due to fear. He would resource guard, pee himself if he he...

Dylan's a gold dog....

As some of you may know, Janet and I took Dylan from Labradoodle rescue about a year or so ago. He had his issues, which, with a lot of advice from other trainers we’ve just about sorted out now. Well the little star just went and passed his gold KC test on Sunday. We hadn’t been working specificall...

Re: Suitable as gundogs?

I think I’ll have to disagree with you Mrs A. Some dogs are far happier and content if they kennel outdoors. I'm not saying it's for everyone, and I wouldn’t do it, but I don't think it has anything to do with being butch or that it's out with the ark. My bud (who's just had the cow incident) loves ...
