Competition time again!

http://coldwetnose.blogspot.com/2009...his-cross.html Click here to see a photo of Quinn, a gorgeous accidental first cross between two breeds. Both were working dogs, one isn't a breed recognised by the Kennel Club. They are from different dog groups and we don't think Quinn looks much like mum or...

Balloon bursters, top dog food and best car suggestions!

Can you help with any of these three questions on our new Think Tank section? http://coldwetnose.blogspot.com/2009/01/update.html Do you have a dog that bursts balloons - or just need cheering up watching one that does? What's the story with NatureDiet supply problems, we have the answer from head o...

Suspected Lepto booster reaction

Can I refer you to a very long blog I've just posted about the death of Taiga, a young Beardie from a suspected Lepto booster reaction. Lorraine the owner is very keen to have his story aired as widely as possible - hence my cross posting http://coldwetnose.blogspot.com/2009/01/shot-in-dark.html To ...

Petition - Pedigree Dogs Exposed

I've just posted this at the end of the RSPCA thread - but now I'm thinking not everyone will read that thread... so here it is again! Many apologies for nt being here sooner - I have a new computer at home and I couldn't remember my login! Been reading this strand and hope that our 10 Downing Stree...

Re: Pedigree dogs exposed

The amazing Terrierman over in the states has blogged something extraordinary about the KC's attempts at getting this TV programme discredited - it seems their 90% healthy statistic quoted in all the media certainly isn't what it seemed... I'd like to point out that while I agree that by saying HD, ...

Re: TV prog on dog health

There's been some more research released on how interbred pedigree dogs are - I've included a summary on my blog, but the professor at Imperial College is calling on breeders to outcross with other breeds... thought you all might be interested in that!

TV prog on dog health

Haven't spotted this mentioned here - but there may be a thread I've missed. But on Tuesday 19th Aug on BBC1 at 9pm there's an hour long documentary on dog health. The title may set a few teeth on edge - Pedigree Dogs Exposed - but it's a scientific documentary based on two years filming and worth a...

Something for nothing!

Want to take part in a no obligation free trial? Well apart from feeding back to say it worked or it didn't! Got an older dog or one with a mobility problem? If your old dog is becoming a bit more reluctant to go for a long walk, or maybe seems a bit stiff first thing in the morning, then read on. W...

Can you help a student please!

Can you take a few minutes to answer some questions about dog shows (both novelty and conventional) for a chap doing a degree?

They are interesting and thought-provoking!

Many thanks

Any RSPCA members out there?

Are you going to the RSPCA AGM at the end of the month? Can you have a quick read to see if you agree with Vera's motion and could give her some support to put it over passionately and eloquently? Or just moral support if you're shy! Can you spread the word to other forums? This wonderful old lady r...

Re: Any budding TV dog extras out there?

It's early days - I think if we feed back that the money puts everyone off they may have a rethink!
