Re: Very sick dog

Hi , I'm really sorry to hear about Digby. My nieces bearded collie developed leukemia as a puppy, she lived until she was 7yrs old and most of the time she was quite well. She did have to have regular blood tests and could no longer have any booster injections. I'm not sure if she was on regular me...

Re: What do you do if you go out for the day?

Hi, We have the same problems.OH never really wanted a dog and often mentions all the things we can't do. We are actually going to Florida in April and Ellie is going to stay with my sister in Harrogate. I have to admitt to being a bit worried about it as they have a 2yr old and a very small garden....

Re: chewing the skirting board

Yes you can buy a spray from Pets at Home(Least I think thats where I got it) I've just searched my cupboard to see what its called but can't find it,Sorry. It was really effective with Ellie, I only sprayed it a few times and it persuaded her not to eat our kitchen door(thank goodness, since OH had...

Re: that dreaded "D" word :-(

My OH lost weight with attkins diet then like you put it back on(over about a year) nothing else seemed to work for him. I didn't want him to go back on attkins coz it basically seems a really unhealthy diet,so I looked around for something else. We are now all(as a family) doing the GI diet. ...

Re: Things your Doodle does that make you laugh?

I know I shouldn't laugh really, but my OH is not really a dog person. What he does like to do is lie on the floor and read the newspaper.Without fail Ellie lies down in front of his head and commando crawls up to him until she is close enough to bash him with her paw! She never does it to us, I try ...

Re: More than.....and thoughts on insurance in general

We have insurance through the caravan club, it cost us £95 for the year. I'm not so worried about illness(although my nieces dog has lukemia, she is a bearded collie and became ill quite young) she is now 7yrs old and it costs them a fourtune in vets bills. My main concern is that Ellies recall is ru...
