Re: Beamish Pics

You got another one?!?!?!?!?!     I had no idea. Is it fair to say you HAD to go for a black one because you already had the other 2 colours? He is the cutest little ball of fuzz. Are they ever that small? Seems like an age ago. He looks like he i...

Re: Good quality ID tags - where from?

We use collarsandtags too for their plastic tag. Very deep engraving, cheap but last forever it seems. We got their plastic one for a very silly reason. Mabel doesn't wear her collar in the house, it just gets put on for her walks. Hence, she learned to associate the briefest sound of the metal tags...

Re: Mabel's grief

I'm so sorry about your father-in-law Ditta :( It certainly makes the loss of a cat seem rather insignificant. I hope he went peacefully and you got to say your goodbyes. Thanks very much for the suggestions but we won't be getting another cat. Jessica's brother Stan is still very much alive and wel...

Re: Mabel's grief

Oh I'm sorry! I didn't mean to upset anyone!! Well the good news is this afternoon she came back upstairs to lie on her own bed rather than sit by the catflap waiting for Jess to come home. Stan has been very unimpressed with the large fluffybutt blocking the catflap but he's very patient with Mabel...

Mabel's grief

I'm not sure where to put this or even if it's a problem as opposed to natural behaviour. Jessica, our 17yr old cat, had to be put to sleep on Tuesday. It was both expected and unexpected. She was only diagnosed with cancer last Wednesday after she lost a bit of weight and went downhill unbelievably...

Re: up date on dexters paw

I just read your earlier post about Dexter's paw and it seems to be very similar to what happened Mabel about 18 months ago. She completely took the top of her large pad on her front paw off when she ran over some broken glass. The only after effects she has had are a rather sensitive pad. If she sk...

Re: after the groomers

Does she still have that new dog smell? She looks fantastic! Did you have the whole "where's my dog gone" thoughts when she came out? We never feel like Mabel's ours when she gets her summer cut. It's like we're living with a stranger. Mabel went on Tuesday and she still smells fantastic. ...

Re: Is it just me......

We tried training but it was more for socialisation than anything. Mabel was demo-dog. She was the one taken up to demonstrate with which I don't think was particularly fair to the others as she has always been a people pleaser to an extent. Mabel doesn't like strangers very much until she gets to k...

I'm not sure what Mabel's paws smell like but I love it. It's like Horlicks or Malteasers.

Re: upset tummy - any advice please

With poorly tums I miss a meal completely, then feed either cooked chicken or white fish, with a little mashed potato - small and often. I also use a probiotic - either a paste such as protexin, or powder - fulvic acid is good. Well it appears I must have gotten this tip from you because that's exa...

It was unnecessary to call that Bichon "ugly" on your Facebook page. Different, yes. Ugly? Absolutely not.
