Trouble with dog walkers - I need some advice

Hello all, About 18 months ago, Samson was being walked by a local dog walking company. The company is run by a 'seemingly' lovely couple and had good reports on local forums. When they arrived to meet us they seemed lovely, had insurance, CRB and even boasted that they walk dogs for local police of...

Re: Help!!

You didn't sound pompous at all, no need to apologise! I think the house lead is great advice. We had some bad advise from a vet early on with Samson (he told us to tug samson's neck when he nipped and said that this was what samson's mother would have done). This lead to us having a constant argume...

Re: Help!!

Hello, Everyone has different ways of dealing with puppy issues and we all seem to have gotten there in the end. I think of it as teaching the dog that he gets rewarded for doing as he's told (i.e. a biscuit when he gets down). Samson was a very head strong pup and the advise we received from a dog ...

Re: Help!!

What a lovey picture, she is very cute. We had exactly the same issue with samson when he was a pup (he's 3 now, i must update his picture). Like all of the puppy bad habbits that nearly took us to breaking point, with a bit training (and a bit of growing up) we got there in the end  . I'd rec...

Re: What to feed helllpppppppp

Hi, Samson is also on JWB, but also won't touch it unless there is something more 'interesting' mixed in. Caesar is his favourite at the moment, but he also has left overs, corned beef or what ever else is lyinh around mixed in. He doesn't have any tummy troubles, so I'm happy to on like this (caesa...

Re: Extra naughty in the snow?

We're lucky in sheffield, as in the terraces, people only use the back door (including us), so there are two gates that would have to be open before Samson could escape.

It appears that there is a doodle code: You don't have to come back if it's snowing!

Extra naughty in the snow?

As I'm not very knowlegable about about dogs, I don't have good advice to share, but I do however seem to keep having embarracing moments to share instead. Today Samson was extremely excited about the snow in the park and whist running round in an excited mania stole a make shift ski from someones f...

Re: Looking for a miniature labradoodle puppy!

Hello, I have an 11 month old mini lab. We paid £470 for him. He's F1 and has a scruffy coat. He's wonderful (most of the time - not today when he stole someone's make shift ski in the park). I think the very high prices come in to play for Australian labradoodles who are much further down the gener...

Re: Help!!!!! have i done wrong?

Don't panic,

I gave Samson his first chicken wing a week last sunday after reading about it on here. He was also a little off colour for the rest of the day, but then was fine. I guess it's just because it's completely new to their stomach
