Re: home boarding
I live in Kent (near Orpington) and have a couple of boarders I can recommend. Please pm and I will let you have the numbers if you are near me. My labradoodle did not like kennels so will be using a home boarder.

Re: To spay or not to spay
Hi, There is a lot of controversy about the best time to spay. I must admit that I decided to let Mia have her first season and then waited three months before vet spayed her. I think this is best as it gives them a chance to mature as well. Like you, I was very worried about her being knocked out b...

Holiday care
Hi, Can anyone recommend a dog boarder in the Kent area? Have been to see two local people but neither suitable. Wanting to go away for a few days over Bank Holiday weekend in August and am getting disheartened. One lady I saw knew nothing about dogs (was clearly doing it for extra cash) and the oth...

Thanks for that. Yes, I agree not good enough especially as I had already taken her back and vet said there were not any stitches left. Will have words on Tuesday but will try to remove it myself today.

Re: May Kent meet - Lullingstone or Mote Park...........??
As some of you know, Mia had to have op this week to remove foreign body in small intestine so will not be having stitches out til next Sat. I dont think she will be up for charging around so soon afterwards so wondered if I could bring my springer spaniel instead? Alternatively, will come on my own...

New update on Mia
Thanks for your concerns over Mia. Just to let you know that it is now 3 days since she had her operation and she is getting a bit better every day. Hard thing is to stop her rushing about too much now as she has quite a few stitches which will not be removed til next Sat. Put her buster collar when...

Re: Teddy from Mayhew
I received email from Lisa at Mayhew about Teddy and he was reserved (I think). There is, however, another labradoodle there - also male but older called Freddy I think. Best bet is to email her at lisa@mayhewanimalhome.org.uk (I think).
Good luck.
Regards, Penny

Re: Update on Mia - problems with eating
Vet just phoned to say Mia had pair of pants in small intestine! Remember now that last week she found pair when out on walk but thought I had removed most from her mouth. What are these dogs like! Also cant believe people dump their pants in the undergrowth!! Ugh. May have to stay in overnight in c...

Re: Problems with eating
Yes shes going in at 8.30 tomorrow and as she has not really picked up since Easter I think vet wants to make sure nothing was missed before. Feel for her as she looks so down - not really moved much today. Just hope vet can find out what is wrong. Will keep you updated. Such a worry our dogs are, a...
