Re: A new case of Elbow Dysplasia

My advice is red wine!!!!!! Completely chilled!!!! And secondly we all have issues in life and Marli having ED is not the best outcome but not the worst either, when i got over the initial shock i was cool about it, and lets face it we can not do any thing about it!!!!!! I would still choose the sam...

Re: Marli needs grooming advice!!!

Terry, I love the long haired look, but no matter how pampered Marli is those matts just re appear, and it does seem more fair to her to have a shorter style. Marli has had a few no 1's but i always think her legs look too skinny, so we are opting for the fozzie look this time short over body but ke...

Re: A new case of Elbow Dysplasia

HI Sue, To be honest it was pretty tough to keep her on the lead as we don't usually as we are blessed with such a well behaved dog thank goodness. May be i should have been al ot more careful but after 8 weeks i could see an improvement but the surgeon still thought on a scale of 0-10 10 being the ...

Re: Update on Marli's elbow dysplasia x

Hi there, We had a visit to the surgeon in Swansea :? on the 8 th and he is happy :P that Marli is progressing well. He said he could still see that she was limping but expected that. Apparantly in young puppies they recover alot quicker but as Marli is knocking on 18 mths :? she will take longer. I...

Re: Are 2 doodles better than 1?

For my sins i have recently been thinking that it would be nice to have a play mate for Marli, and then my husband pointed out that that would be fine as long as i never wanted to have a holiday again!!!!!!!!! We have brilliant friends that love Marli and have her for us when we go away, but another...

Re: Nothing like a doodle...

Knowing all of this about different coats surely the breeder should have told you that it was almost a lucky dip :? , as i have seen so many coat differences, and they do change also as the puppy grows older. We bought our doodle from a breeder and i took a picture from their website, asking what ty...

Re: Update on Marli's elbow dysplasia x

Also Lynnl, Marli has got another 4 weeks but to be honest i have let her off a little but no running however she has bolted out the door once or twice at the neighbours cat but nothing like she was used to bless her. She has just been clipped and is looking even more sorry for herself, her right le...

Re: Update on Marli's elbow dysplasia x

Bid i was thinking that myself. Marli never showed any signs of pain but we were told that she must have had a lot as her elbow was very "messy"!!!!! So part of me thinks she may always have that trait now, who knows only time will tell.

Re: Odie being neutered Tues but advice required please!

Jules, lets just say i obviously chose the calmer of the pups as Marli is amazing too friendly and pretty calm, but as you would have read she has just been diagnosed with elbow dysplasia, soo not all good there. I can not help you with the ball bits but just to say i have read on here about quite a...
