Re: Introducing Ludo...
Hello there Not much to add except to say that Milly's biting was at its worst when she was tired or over-excited, and perseverance with the time out technique (even if it is just a minute behind a closed door) was the most effective for us. We thought it would never end, but it did, and like someon...

Re: depressed
Hi I worry about this too but was told by someone who knows more about dogs than me that we should not interpret their expressions as if they are human. If they were depressed, she said, they would be off their food and they would avoid eye contact with us, apparently. I'm sure someone else will hav...

Re: Vets near calais?
Ah, that's an interesting thought, to have her done where we would actually like to be on the Saturday. We are doing a long drive up from the south and I suppose it's not going to be that much fun hanging round Calais until our Monday morning trip across the channel. I was just thinking that there w...

Vets near calais?
Hi Has anyone used a vet near Calais that they could recommend (especially one that is open on Saturday?) who reliably supplied and documented the tick and tapeworm treatment required for the pet passport scheme? Defra have just told me to look in French Yellow pages. Any idea how much we will need ...

Being a lazy kind of gal, I must say I find the vango inflatable incredibly tempting! I watched the video of it being erected on the winfield website and it seems amazing.

Motorhomes - hiring in France - dogs
ANother holiday question from me! You can see what's on my mind at the moment! Has anyone ever hired a camper van in France? Or hired one from the UK and taken it abroad? Just wondering what your experience was and whether you could recommend any particular companies? ALso, is a camper van a rather ...

Milly too enjoyed poo. Charming isn't it? I don't know how old your dogs are, but at 4, Milly seems to have mostly grown out of it. Touch wood...
