The reason I ask is that several of us have come across 'rescues' who are persuading people to hand over dog...

Re: Using a whistle for training\recall
We do use a whistle, which I find is slightly better than calling. My difficulty has been with "charging" a whistle because of Truffle's take or leave it attitude to her food - meaning that I don't get an enthusiastic response if I use it at mealtimes. She's the same with toys - she can be absolutel...

Re: Not dog poo so what is it?
It's nearly midnight now and with glass of wine in hand and nothing better to do, I was determined to get to the bottom of this. After a little googling I found: http://passionatemedia.typepad.com/my_weblog/2008/12/new-calendar-is-top-of-the-plops-for-christmas.html If you scroll down a little you'l...

I've thrown my wrapper away too. But it was on the Northern Doodles stand and I think the wrapper said "Nana Sue's" .
It went down very well here too.

Re: How many of our Doodles are service dogs?
I'm puppy parenting Vernon for Canine Partners. He's a 7 month old black F1B boy. He's pretty calm so far - for a doodle anyway! If he passes all his assessments I'll sadly be saying goodbye to him when he's around 14 months, when he'll go off for his advanced training.

Re: Food for a sensitive tummy
Truffle had tummy problems as a puppy and after trying Hills, Nature Diet, Burns, and another I can't remember we ended up on Orijen Fish. Maybe her tummy just matured and sorted itself out coincidentally but it suits her very well.
