not walking

Piran has started refusing to walk when we are out. He can be fine in the morning, but then in the afternoon he may keep stopping and standing still. The location or timing of these refusals to move are not consistent, and sometimes they are on the way out and at others on the way home. If I take a ...

Re: Henry in the wars again!

Hi there. How is Henry doing now? I found this thread because I was searching for 'cruciate ligament'. Piran was referred to the orthopaedic specialist with a suspected trapped nerve in his back. But the specialist thinks it is most likely the cruciate ligament. We had to leave him there yesterday f...

Re: Homemade bandana inspired by Austin and Tilly

There used to be a lady made these bandanas and sold them to raise money for the Doodle Trust. I can't remember her name but they were called Pamdanas. Maybe somebody has a link for her for those of us who can't sew?

Re: Can you help with questionnaire please?

Thanks to all of you who have completed Claire's questionnaire. I'm not sure quite what she is looking to prove/disprove, but it certainly made me realise how much I don't know!

Can you help with questionnaire please?

Claire Klima of Cutters Canines is doing her degree in animal behaviour. She regularly home-boards Piran, and has sent me a questionnaire as part of her dissertation. But she needs a lot more responses in order for her research to be valid. So can I ask if some of you lovely doodle owners would comp...

Re: Human Health Matters I may have an allergy to Lulu Noooo

Most important - don't let her in your bedroom. With or without you. Make sure all your bedding and bedroom is thoroughly cleaned. This will be your safe place if you do have a problem. Try taking antihistamines. If they help then it is probably an allergy (imho). This could be a temporary thing. I ...

Re: A mini Doodle in a Mini convertible - advice!

I have a 3 door Renault Clio and a 35kg doodle. He used to travel in the front with a harness attached to the seatbelt but that had to stop when he got too big to settle down comfortably. His harness now attached to the seatbelt in the back. He has no problems getting in and out as the front seats s...

Re: Dried venison - are these the poshest treats or what!?

Piran had allergy tests about 18 months ago, and avoiding the food that was identified has made a huge difference to him. But one of his allergens is potato. I was told this was relatively common for dogs. Does anyone else's dood have this?

Labradoodle t shirt

Apologies if this has already been posted, but the recent comments about labradoodle fashion made me thing of this t-shirt that Barb posted about on FB. It would look good with the labradoodle socks - and might stop people asking me 'is that a standard poodle?' http://teespring.com/keepcalmlabradoodle
