Re: STUDLAND MEET

Yes, happy for walks in the area, although I stress most about sheep with Otto.... :( ! So long as there are none of those we are OK!

Maybe we could have two types of walks? a beach one and a non-beach one?

Anyway, will keep checking in.

STUDLAND MEET

Hi, I haven't been on line for a while, very busy these days and so just do not check in so often..... I wondered if there was any Studland Meet planned as I know there often is one around the New Year ? If there is, could someone send me the details so we can come along? Otto so loves to meet old f...

Re: WALKING 'COUNTRY BOOTS'

Thanks everyone. I can get the Toggi Berkeley's online - waiting new deliveryof my size (about £40 cheaper than the shop where I tried them on - would not dare buy them without trying). Very tempted by the Tuffa Suffolk boot too but have not tried on so again not going to risk it! Bid, am wondering ...

WALKING 'COUNTRY BOOTS'

Hi, I am thinking of getting a pair of Toggi Berkeley Country boots which vary in price but can be got for about £116 online (if they get my size in!). Does anyone have any views about these boots - or any other recommendations? My main concern is that they are comfortable, but also of course that t...

Re: Ticks .

Next time we go to the vet's (for his annual injections) will ask the Vet about Practic too. Although for us Frontline does seem effective and we frequently have sheep in the field behind us as well as all around (being Dorset !!). I too worry about these chemicals and having to put them where they ...

Re: Ticks .

We use Frontline Combo for Otto, (combo meaning for ticks and fleas). It lasts for 6-8 weeks. I know it works because I keep a record of the date applied and then when a next see a tick on him it is usually after about 7/8 weeks and then reapply. You can only buy this particular Frontline product fr...

Re: SQUEAKY TOYS (like Pheasants!)

Hi , thanks for your suggestions. I don't mind him running after them in one way, if it was just in the way he does with a crow or something whereby he knows he has no chance of catching it. The problem is that he actually caught one about 2 weeks ago which had got itself trapped under a hedge and c...

SQUEAKY TOYS (like Pheasants!)

Hi, not posted for a bit but now that spring is here we are enjoying some lovely walks. The downside of spring is that everything is just soooo exciting. Otto's latest fascination is with pheasants - they materialise from nowhere and fly low for him to chase or he hears their squawks, which seem to ...

Re: STUDLAND MEET

I too have some photos but not quite sure how to post them so they do not become my permanent signature! Any tips?

Otto was exhausted and had a lovely hot shower when he got home.

Lovely to see so many people there and put a few names to faces - human and dog! - it is such a great day out.

Re: Cockerpoo puppy killed by staffie

That is so awful. Just horrific, poor little thing not even started it's life properly yet.
What a crazy situation that they cannot prosecute the owner. If the dog is capable of that it could do the same to a child, or baby.
The owner sounds disgusting. They should be banned from owning dogs.

Re: STUDLAND MEET

Great Bid, much looking forward to meeting Beamish - think he may look a bit like Otto. Who, incidentally, we 'trimmed' with the new Andis grooming kit at the weekend. Far from a perfect job and think we got a bit carried away around his face/ nose  but it will grow back  The equipment th...

Re: STUDLAND MEET

Bumping this up to see if anyone else is interested - Saturday 21st Jan meeting around 1130 am at Studland?
We normally meet in the car park right by the Ferry.
Bid and Anna are coming.

Or if this date isn't working for most - the following weekend - 28th or 29th Jan?

STUDLAND MEET

Hi,

Does anyone fancy a Studland Beach walk before the end of the month - it has been a while I think since we had one (unless I missed the message...)

How about in two weeks' time - Saturday 21st or Sunday 22nd January - meeting around 1130?

Re: HELP - problem doodle!

This has brought back memories of how Otto was - he is now a beautifully behaved dog in the house (he will be 3 at the end of this month). However, when he was a teenager, like yours, he was very naughty. Destruction to the house was mainly limited to a few lamp wires, his own bedding (and especiall...
