How to stop a tea leaf?
Olly has become an expert at counter surfing and then running into the garden with his loot. It's his most favourite game to have the entire family trying to corner him to get whatever he's stolen out of his mouth, and he relishes trying to outwit us all. Sometimes it's very entertaining but this we...

Re: New member struggling with 9 month old!
One last plea - does anyone have cats and labradoodles living happily together? Is this ever going to happen?! I think it depends on the cat. We have two, brother and sister, when Olly first came home we were advised to hold him so he couldn't chase and let the cats show him who is boss. Maisie the...

Re: Worst thing your doodle has eaten.......?
Cow poo mainly, the steamier the better (BLEUGH!) one of our walks is through a cow field and he just lurves it. It used to really affect his tummy but not so much now, must have got used to it. Swipes any food un attended at the table, and took two frozen fish fingers as i turned my back to open th...

Re: Pee killing the lawn!
Any suggestions greatly received here too!! It's not just bitches - Bobby has decimated the lawn with his pee - hubby is fraught!! Green thumb came the other day and recommended dog rocks so they're in his bowl now (although he keeps trying to take them out!) but they take at least 5 weeks to work....

To be honest he's not being too interested today, but i do worry about the night time, so may have to copy you.....now which child's t shirt shall i use?...

Olly's lost his manly bits, advice please
Oll's had the op yesterday and is doing just fine although is feeling terribly sorry for himself . I haven't been able to leave his side yet, partly because he won't let me, but also because if i do, vet nurse says i have to put the cone of shame on . Can't bear to do it to the poor boy, as if he ha...

Re: Seeking a SMALL F1 miniature labradoodle
Hi there, Hope Bid has sorted you out. Only advice i could give if you wanted an F1 is to make sure mum is a very small lab as the puppies of F1's can have varying gene mixes. Olly is a miniature/medium F1 labradoodle by parentage as he has a miniature poodle dad, but as you can see, the poodle bit ...

Re: Recall
We've completely given up letting Olly off lead for the past 6 weeks or so because he was becoming SO shockingly bad at running off, and being told off by other dog owners for not having my dog under control as i ran panting towards them, was turning each walk into an ordeal. He goes for his op next...

Re: Snuggles
Just thought i would post a picture or two of hattie from this morning's walk. She loves rolling in fox poo, which i think we all now know, but today she has found something better.....new cut grass. I don't mind - i love the smell myself, but she has turned herself green! http://i881.photobucket.c...

Re: Jumping up, what shall i do? :-(
Thanks, we've always done the ignoring thing when he's jumped up and it's worked, but as he's got bigger and we've worn lighter clothes as it's got warmer, his claws hurt so it's hard to ignore him and turning away just increases the pain (he drew blood on my 8 year old who admittedly was stupidly n...

Jumping up, what shall i do? :-(
Olly has always been really good at not jumping up at people, especially at first greeting and has been great with the children up till now. Recently tho, he seems to get jealous if i'm hugging one of the children (or my hubbie for that matter) and he jumps up at us mid hug. He has also started to j...
