I had a behavourist out to Herbie today as he still sometimes growls at other dogs its been going on too long now. Re: Too young to choose?

I chose Herb at 4 weeks which was too early to tell personality also they were asleep and had to be woken up. But I don't think I would have choosen differently any way and I suppose it gives the breeder more time to sll all the pups so its damned if you do and damned if you don't. But its like a bo...

Re: Anyone looking for a young cockerpoo?

They have such sad lives its places like many tears that do such goood that make the wo...

Re: Allergies to labradoodles

Herbie's an f1b with a very thick nonmoulting fleece coat and one of ours customers who has standard poodles has an astham attack if she cuddles Herb for too long. I'd visit a couple of poodles and if no reaction stick to a poodle there coats are more consistant. Doodles are fab and I now would alwa...

Re: Matty Fur

if its just starting to mat and is not to bad then book him in for a bath to get rid of any loose coat. I'm a groomer and its the hardest coat to manage you could get armpits behind ears and a good clean under the belly that might help you keep it longer. I have about 1 1/2 inches on his body and ab...

Re: not pleased

I agree there are soooooo many interesting smells around at the mo . Herbies back on lead due to reinjury his shoulder following the scents   But my mothers dog went through a virtual season 6 months after being spayed so it could be a twofold reason. I'd stick her back on a lead for a cou...

Re: Puppy bitten - unpleasant owner - what to do?

Herbie's been attacked 5 times now twice by the same dog. I now carry a dog stop alarm or a rape alarm every time I take him out. It has worked the once I needed to use it but it really hurts your ears! Please do take him back with his friends as soon as possible Herbie is now wary of strange dogs a...

Re: Daisys op

Scent work is really tiring for them,Herbie's on lead only exercise for the forseeable future so ALOT of scent work gets done. try hiding a treat with her watching in something really heavy that she cann't move then take her on her lead to it and let her find the smell she'll find it really quick bu...
