Re: Any good breeders?

Courtlands in Monmouth were very good when I had Henry 7 years ago. Best to call them however as their internet I believe can be troublesome.

Re: Boarding kennels

I can recommend 2 near to Junction 26 of the M1:- http://www.napthaboarding.co.uk/ http://www.dovecotepetcare.moonfruit.com/ I have used both for Henry and he has been fine at both. Naptha is a kennels that was taken over about 2 years ago and has undergone a lot of refurbishment. Dovecote is a fami...

Re: Australian Labradoodles & breeders in UK

My 5 year old 50/50 dood, Henry was from Courtlands. His dad was Berry and Mum was Millie. He is and has been the most perfect dog ever. Some may recall that the reason we had him was when my late wife had cancer, and then I did ask the question when she passed away if I should keep him. Thank goodn...

Re: Any tips for a doodle scared of the bath?

I have had my plumber fit a contraption that mixes the hot and cold water to an outside tap [it adjusts under the sink for the temperature, it is really for old peoples homes to prevent scalding]. Then on the outside tap I have one of those long curly hoses and a garden sprinkler head. If Henry need...

Puppy Stolen

On todays BBC News for Nottingham on the Web is a report of a 3 week old Pug puppy that has been stolen in a violent raid at the owners home. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-25680317 Just a warning for all owners especially with puppys to be vigilant, perhaps more so in the Nott...

Re: LOST doodle pupp & GSD together -Strelly Village, Nottin

I work only a half mile from here, have emailed work colleagues to keep a look out. It is very close to the M1 and that's a worry.

Re: Hands up if you cried

This was so very sad and really made me think. Regular contributors to this forum may remember me asking advice last year about if I should let my Henry go to another home after my wife died and I had to return to work. The advice generally was that I should keep him as he would be good for me [and ...

Re: Potential new labradoodle owner

Hi, I have a Miniture / Medium 50/50 dood, he is about the size of a springer spaniel. Therfore once grown walking in Derbyshire will be fine. I live just over the Derby / Notts border [near to Ikea, J26 M1], you would be more than welcome to visit and check my Henry out and see if he would fit in. ...

Unconditional love

My apologies if this has been posted before but I was so moved by this video:

The unconditional love showed by this Labrador to this little boy is so moving.

Re: Good news - well sort of!

I'm sure your dogs will be fine, it's us that are the problem! Some will remember last year I posted a similar dilemma after my wife died and I either had to leave Henry while I worked or get him rehomed. I put a poster on the park gates and had 3 replies. Someone who live virtually next door to me ...

Re: Pick up your doodles doos....

If they sprayed the piles of poo in my location there would be no green grass left just pink or orange or whatever colour was chosen, I think the ones that clear up after their dog are a minority. I work shifts and often take Henry out at 05:00 before an early shift, in the winter it's pitch black a...

Dog rescue centre near me always has a lot of dogs [too many staffies sadly but also many others]. They are near to Jcn 26 M1, North Nottm so not far away.

Hair dryer

Does anyone use a 'Blaster' to dry their Dood? With all this wet and muddy weather I have to shower Henry's legs and tummy after every walk and then spend ages trying to dry him with towels and a hair dryer. However he still remains damp for ages. It's more of a problem when I am just about to go to...

Re: TELEPHONE WIRE

If you really need to get the socket and wire moved try looking in the local paper ads or PO window and so on, there are plenty of ex BT engineers will move a socket for a damn sight less than BT themselves.

Unless you are near Nottingham and I could move it [again ex BT]
