Re: help wanted :)

I think that there is a facebook group for northern doodles
They have walks every other weekend somewhere in the Northeast
Stonecellar labradoodles might be worth a Google search, they might be some help to you.

Re: Crufts!!

Isn't strange how when someone makes a comment on what they think about doodles we all assume that they are idiots etc.... Yet we assume about pedigree dogs...do we know how healthy this dog was coz maybe the kennel club don't need to be ashamed of themselves. I don't know for sure so I don't just a...

Re: Fundraising idea for the Trust

You could have an event that people give a donation for, if it is a charge you become the event organiser and therefore legally accountable. Please be careful how you word it.

Good luck with it though :D

Re: Am I asking to much?

I am going to say no I don't think you are.

If your dog learns to come back before this becomes a bad habbit, then you never need to go through the hassle of breaking the habbit.

Do you attend any form of classes, if not may be something to consider

Re: phone call

I'm not misguided, they have and can kill children. I'm not saying everyone of that breed has but there certainly have been children killed by this breed. How is this misguided?? It's a fact. Yes every dog can kill cats, rabbits etc, but not every breed can do that to humans . Again  are you ...

Re: Other dog owners.....

I can see the lab's owners point really - if his girl is timid, she should be able to walk unmolested. I can also see that it is a nuisance if he is going to be walking in the same place as you though. So true. Work on YOUR dogs recall...no one can manhandle your dog unless they are within arms rea...

Re: Attacked by an alsatian!

Sorry to hear this. I am glad to hear that your dog is okay Really goes to show how important a good recall can be. I wouldn't say that every dog should be on a lead (thats crazy) however I would say that you shouldn't let your dog just run up to other dogs, even if your dog is friendly it is YOUR j...

Re: Breeding

It is more about "common stud"

Many studs have hundreds of litters, so the fact that bitches only have a few makes little difference...sadly.

F1's have again the same problem that many have the same poodle father :( this has a future knock on effect

Re: Scrap at Agility

The dog in its red mist doesn't realise what it's got hold of, whether it be dog or human I am sure that this would be a fine excuse \ reason to have your dog saved from DDA prosecution???? I am not saying these things never happen but it that excuse "dog will be dogs" People will be people ...

Re: Scrap at Agility

so it turned round and bit her arm! It was a deep puncture wound which needed a bandage and probably a trip to the hospital!! I am so glad that my dogs aren't 'natural' in this respect :( A dog guarding food may to some be seen as natural, although never acceptable but a dog that lacks such control...

Re: Training Issue - HELP

Why not come along to one of the many Northern Doodles meets and then at least we are all in it together. Most place we go have some element of off lead walking so we can all let the dogs socialise. :D :D :D anything from 5 or 6 to 50 dogs. 8) From the other side I can let both of mine off without t...
