Re: Tia - The ripped ear and the need for a new harness!
Hi. Kip used to lunge a lot, happens very infrequently now and he walks really well on his lead (he is nearly 5 though :) ). I use a gencon and really like it. Kip doesn't mind wearing it at all, I'm very careful not to tug him, and he's always responded positively to wearing it. I have a couple of ...

Re: Starting on Raw Feeding
Hi, I feel raw in the morning and kibble in the evening. It works very well for us. I don't mix kibble and raw in the same meal (I know you're not doing) - just for info :D . This is only my opinion but I'd be tempted, if you're still feeding three meals, to feed raw for the first two meals and last...

Talking of axe-grinding, perhaps newbies would like to check out this thread to see how some people have acted on the forum in the past... http://www.labradoodle.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=30723 (With apologies to the OP as it looks as if your thread has been hi-jacked. Re: behaviour issues?
My dog used to do this, not at people but at quad bikes or landrovers/trailers. Although, he's always been a little too interested in people and other dogs for my liking. We did and still do (situation dependent) what Bid suggested. This helps redirect his attention and seems to help him realise tha...

Re: Cooked/raw query
Wonder if it would be better to feed raw on its own and not mix with kibble ie. feed kibble at separate meal time? Maybe its a bit confusing for his system to cope with both at once. I don't know much about this but I read that it wasn't good to mix the two.

Bid - I'm enjoying the moment!
Doodle Dee - it really does happen!
Anne - Kip is four years and 3 months so Ianto's only got a couple more years to go!

Kip and I had a lovely walk this morning and I can honestly say he didn't put a paw wrong. We've had some very trying walks just lately (not Kip's fault) so this was a welcome occasion. We came across quite a few dogs of all descriptions and he behaved very well. We also met a lovely 14 week old bla...

Re: Fuming!!!!
Canteron I can understand where you're coming from about dogs not being on the lead, but unfortunately many attacks happen when you're not in the position to have your dog off the lead. My dog was attacked last week when he was on his lead (on a public footpath). The offending bl**dy dog charged up ...
