Re: It’s hot hot hot
Phew it sure is sizzling isn't it. I am turning nocturnal  I'm waiting for the neighbours to start stringing garlic around their windows - I'm sure they think I'm a vampire :!: I try to stay indoors if possible with Archie until 8pm with fans blowing, curtains drawn, cooling mats etc at the rea...

Re: Humping
Hi Bertiesmom, I know exactly what you're coping with  My Archie was castrated at 1 year old and he used to hump Labradors all the time. His favourites were the chocolate coloured ones :!: A lot of Labrador owners said their dogs seemed a favourite for the unwanted attention and that maybe the...

Re: Stay cool doods
Holly's face is the picture of ecstasy    Archie and I have mainly been hiding in the house with the curtains closed and floor fans going. At night I have been putting down cool mats on the floor (even nicked one for me in bed :!: ) For car journeys he wears his cool coat. Brilliant i...

Re: Remembering Huggy
I can't believe another year has passed. Huggy was well loved on this forum and will never be forgotten. I bet he is giving all at 'rainbow bridge a run for their money'. I still chuckle to myself at the mention of his name
Bless you Huggy and Hugs to you Linny.

Re: Do you remember your favourite sweets????
I used to love spearmint flavoured chewy sweets that looked like opal fruits and had the same texture and came in a similar long paper packet, can't remember their name though.

Re: Freddy where have the last 8 months gone
Well Derek, you are right at the beginning of your wonderful Doodle journey. The antics that they get up to could fill a book but that is part of their charm. They are so intelligent and never fail to astonish us with their ingenuity. With patience and perseverance they do settle down, but you will ...

Re: Harley has had a stroke
what a dreadfully worrying time for you Sarah. So glad he's home and the prognosis is a good one though. Reading Linny's post was very encouraging too. My Archie like Harley also likes to poo at a distance and not in his garden too but when they really need to go you'd be surprised how quickly they ...

Hi kathie, yes it would be lovely to see you and Holly again. If the house move looks like it is going to take a while I will try and make a meetup beforehand.

Re: Rare - I almost have a feeling of puppy-training success
You are realising just how intelligent these doods are. They love nothing better than learning new things especially when it's reward based  You've given me guilt now as I used to do lots with Archie when he was younger but we tend to get lazy as they get older. I play football with him ( in a ...

Re: Where is everyone?
Nice to be back kathie. I thought you had moved to Cornwell, I must be getting you mixed up with someone else on here. My memory was always bad but now there's just a lump of jelly where a brain used to be  All things being equal we are moving to Sompting. Fingers crossed so probably not far a...

Re: Lurning curves....?
Hi milo17, It's incredible how fast they learn something new and virtually impossible to stay one step ahead of them. Archie outwits me time after time but I try to give him a run for his money. The one trick he sussed at a very early age and I am still trying to fix is the 'I know I can get you to ...
