Thinking of a new addition
Hi all Not posted for ages but safe to say my darling Bob is still the love of my life! I know this sounds very pessimistic but he's nearly 6 and I'm already worried about being without him (can't help it - I love him so much) Before we had him my cat of 15 years died and I nearly couldn't cope with...

Re: Help - again!
So - He's been on fish Origen since my last posting and the gagging and bile have stopped :D His skin is still a mess but I wasn't expecting a quick fix for that so it's still work in progress. He's eating the kibble without fuss but not with as much gusto as the raw :( Poor lamb Number 2's are good...

Re: Help - again!
Thank you for all your replies! I eventually bit the bullet and took him to the vet. Our vet, in my opinion, is fantastic. They agreed that he shouldn't be put on a hills etc diet as it's so pants nutritionally but the also wanted to avoid any meat for a while. Now, Bob being Bob won't eat just whit...

Help - again!
I'm here again with Bob's b****y skin. I'm a daily reader of posts but don't often post for help but I really need it today! :( I am really struggling with Bob's skin and general wellbeing and I think it's all related to his food. A few years ago he was allergy tested and it came back that he was al...

Re: Skin troubles - again!
Thanks Bid
I knew I could rely on you!
Some of the sores are on his back so it's not where he's scratching.
How much fish oil and vitamin E do you give?
Thanks

Skin troubles - again!
Hi all I know I'm very guilty of not posting but I read all your threads with great interest! I'm hoping for a bit of advice regarding Bobs skin. As some of you may recall, we had a very infuriating time a few years ago with his skin and eventually found out he was allergic to chicken   ...

Serene Dood???????
I know I don't post very often but I read all the threads - sorry folks lack of time   I can't help but feeling that Bob is either senile or very gay!!! I love reading all the stories of 'naughty' doods but I feel that I've either been short changed on the dood trait or I'm very lucky! B...

Re: Skin allergies and sickness
Please be careful with chicken! It seems that a lot of cream doods (including my own) are allergic to it. The raw supplier I gets Bob's food from even asked if he was cream when I started to order from them! It took months of tests and very expensive Hill's exclusion diets to prove it was chicken. S...

Frozen Raw Feeding
My wonderful vet (a very passionate advocate for raw feeding) persuaded clean freak me to feed Bob raw from his arrival home. He had already been weaned on to raw from the breeder (who our vet recommended). As I can't bear the thought of feeding bones I use Manifold Valley Meats and their 'complete'...

Hi there - I know it's a pain but at least it's not sinister news
Just out of interest - which vet hospital are you going to? Is it North West Surgeons?

Re: Balls not dropped
Hi there - our Bob was exactly the same and his didn't drop  so he was castrated at 9 months. The surgery was just like a 'normal' castration other than they had to go in a bit further to find the other one!! I wouldn't by choice have had him castrated that early but I trust our vets implicitl...

Re: my turn to rant
I know I don't regularly post  but I do lurk daily and thought that I would add to this. My hubbie works in vets daily and he was having this same conversation with one of the vets at a practice yesterday. He said that if a dog was left in a car in direct sunlight in this heat its body would g...

Raw Food suppliers
I know I don't post very often but I lurk every day! There seems to be a lot of talk about raw food suppliers at the moment and Manifold Valey Meats have been mentioned quite regularly. I have been using them for a couple of months and having nothing but praise for them! Bob is allergic to chicken (...
