Re: Catastrophic injury to the cruciate ligament
Our appointment with the surgeon in Cambridge isn't until 13 march hopefully the op will be done the next day. In the meantime I have to keep her calm, not jump about on furniture, sigh. She is a doodle, bounce is her middle name. She is hopping about on three legs quiet happily, whilst I gently tea...

Re: Catastrophic injury to the cruciate ligament
Thanks for the good stories. Kiz is still crazy and I know the hardest part will be stopping her running and jumping. Wendy

Catastrophic injury to the cruciate ligament
Kizzie was running around, yelped and somersaulted. She got up and walked back to me with her left paw dangling, she can't bear any weight on it. Our vet is 90% certain that she has damaged the cruciate ligament. Kiz has been taking anti inflamatories since Saturday and will be checked into the vets...

Re: Australian Service Dog (ASD) or Labradoodle - advice ple
I have two multi-gen labradoodles, one is a laid back, gentle, happy go lucky dood. The other is bright and bouncy and if not kept busy she will entertain herself :!: What I am saying is that it is all in the breeding and maybe the first few weeks of the puppies lives. So whichever type of dog you g...

How do you get to be a Ceasar Ambassador? I assume by being allowed to use his name, you are verified in some way?

Re: Toilet training
You need to take him outside whenever he eats or wakes up and every hour during the day. That way he won't have time to wee indoors. Give lots of praise when he goes, (it is a good idea to say a word as soon as they start to go, that way they will associate the word with having a wee. I say 'hurry u...

Re: Tripe . . .
and Kirstie - how funny that your grandad used to eat it - that made me laugh and choke on my breakfast at the same time :D
We used to eat white tripe when I was a kid (I am 55!), it doesn't smell or taste of anything, we just piled pepper and vinegar on. I haven't touched it since ...

Whereabouts in Lincolnshire are you? There are several doods living close to me and our vet certainly has some experience of hooliganism

Re: Are 2 Labradoodles much more work than 1?
I love having two doodles. Make sure your existing dog is reasonable well behaved/trained before you bring another into your home, otherwise the older dog will teach the puppy bad habits. But the older one will teach the puppy good stuff too :) Kizzie and Murphy play together all the time, they make...

Re: Florrie is critical
Well done Florrie. She will be as good as new in no time, and soon will be better than new, now that you know what was wrong with her you and your vet can work towards fixing her.
Florrie is a very lucky girl to have you caring for her.
Take care of yourself Tasha,
