Re: Lost it in P&H.. Not proud xxx
My son is six, therefore has been around Bruno since he was three. He has always wanted to stroke other dogs but even now he will still go up to the owner with his arms folded and say politely "please may I stroke your dog?" He has always understood that not all dogs are like Bruno and some may be f...

Re: Diet time
Bruno is around 29" to his shoulders. I have noticed that he's not as slender as he was, but I still don't think he's fat??? (or "barrel" shaped!!suzi23173 wrote:How tall are Bruno, Murphy and Poppy?
I am always worrying about Tess's weight and wanting to compare her with other doods.

Diet time
I went to get Bruno's annual vaccinations and the vet weighed him. Bearing in mind, 8 months or so ago, he was only 31kg , and the vet advised he put on a couple of kilos  ...... He now weighs 40kg!!! So he's having slightly less kibble and NO titbits from now on. Not quite sure hubby ...

Re: Which food? Standard or large puppy? Orijen or not? Help
I have used Green Dog for around 2 years now. I stopped using the puppy one at around 12 months and moved him onto the adult. I was attracted to it as they are an ethical family run company who do not test any of the ingredients on caged animals (they test on pet dogs), use whole human grade meat, t...

Re: What can an F1B Labradoodle look like
An F1 is 50% Labrador and 50% Poodle. As with children, they can turn out more like their mum or like their dad. F1s tend to be a bit more predictable, in that their coats are normally scruffy, but still shed. F1b will be 25% Labrador and 75% Poodle. I find that most have curlier coats, do not shed ...

Re: Huntingdon doodles
I would love for Bruno to meet other like minded doods!! We used to do the hinchinbrooke meets every first Sunday, but they have stopped. Bruno's recall is rubbish, ettiquette, non existent and jumps a lot. BUT if you are willing, I would love to meet up with anyone who wants to?? (he really is a ge...

Bruno maybe finally learning something?
I have always tried to get Bruno calm when meeting other dogs, especially when he is on his lead, if only to stop me looking like an idiot being dragged on my bum along the pavement!! Well, I had started stopping where we were when I saw another dog approaching (this is lead walks) This is w...

Re: Kink in tail?
I posted about this when Bruno was young, as I thought he was deformed too!!!
Apparently it's part of the poodle gene that gives them a kink. Most poodle crosses have it.

Re: Advocate reaction?
I would be inclined to say it was just a reaction to the jabs?
Advocate used to give Bruno inflamed ears when he was a pup, but I've used it all his life with no reaction since he was around 9 months old.
He still gets agitated the day after his jabs though

Re: Doodle snobs!?!
I get a lot of comments about Bruno. "what is he?" "He's a Labradoodle" "Really? I thought they were supposed to be curly" "Some are, but mine's a 50/50 cross" "Oh, so he's just a cross really then ...." "Still, they don't shed do they?" "Yes, a lot do, and he does" " Oh, shame" But, having said tha...

Re: Do we realise how clever our doodles are without trainin
When Bruno get's in the car, I too say "Mind your head" and he shifts further back. He also walks around poo on the street and looks back at me as if to make sure I have followed his lead and not walked through it like a good girl  He also has learned how to open and steal from the bin, go hal...
