If he doesn't chew while you are around during the day, he probably won't anyway. Not all dogs are chewers.
Jessie sleeps with the shoes and coats, she has not ever chewed while we were out.

You are very brave - we have wanted a dog for years but waited till our youngest was 11years old before we got Jessie, the thought of training a pup with a toddler would have sent me round the bend! Lots of good advice on here, as someone has already said, If it is really not for you it would not be...

Jessie has half her meal in a Buster Cube, its brilliant and it makes her eat each peice of kibble seperatly(its still gone really quickly but its not gone in a second, and she loves it)

Should have said also, the food we moved her to was Salmon based for the fish oils. She now has a fab coat

Jessie was on Burns for a year and had nothing but trouble with her tummy and failed to gain weight, always hungry) We moved her to Arden Grange in September (which has a bit of corn in) and she has had no trouble at all since, she as put on lots weight and stopped eating poo. Jessie is not allowed on the sofa , but if one of us or the kids is sat on the floor she will quite happily flop over legs, arms, feet to have a sleep. It's really cute, and its never caused any problems.
