4.5 kilos at 10 weeks - any idea how heavy when fully grown?

Hi

A friend of mine has just got a labradoodle puppy :D It weighs 4.5 kg and is 10 weeks old. Does anyone have any idea what weight it might be when adult. I'm not sure if it is a standard or mini?

Re: Oscar's new haircut..

To be honest, I like the longer haired look best. At least you will save some money as he won't need another cut for ages! Oscar is still gorgeous though!!! :D

Is there an alternative to Advocate?

Is there anything else that can be given to dogs to protect them against lung worm, apart from Advocate? I want to protect against lung worm but I'm worried about using Advocate as she becomes very itchy after it is put on, so I don't think it agrees with her.

Re: Second vaccination help please!

I agree, don't have the 2nd injection too early as it may not be effective. I think (and someone will correct me if I'm wrong) you can have the 2nd injection up to a month after the 1st.

Re: I can't find a miniature Labradoodle breeder

Have you checked the puppy finder of UKLA? There is also a labradoodle puppy finder website (I think)

Even if the breeder doesn't have puppies available at the moment they should be able to add you to their waiting list for the next litter.

Good luck :D

Re: Grooming video

Interesting video. I never knew they clip then scissor cut. When I tried using clippers I ended up going over and over again trying to neaten it up, took forever and wasn't very even  I have to agree, I like the before look best. I don't know why groomers try and do a poodle cut on a labradood...

Re: A 'proper' Labradoodle.

I like all labradoodles - curly, fleece or hair coated. I don't think one is superior to the other, it is all a matter of personal preference.

A 'proper' labradoodle is all about the personality - loveable, affectionate, bouncy and totally bonkers!!!! :D

Re: Let's have the vaccination debate!

I'm not anti vaccination, as I believe it's important a puppy has the injections and their first booster at 1 year. What I am anti is being forced to give them boosters every year, and if you miss it by a couple of months, then made to have 2 injections. If you use kennels then you have no choice bu...

Re: Let's have the vaccination debate!

Don't know, don't know, don't know...... I think the vets make a huge amount of money with vaccinations so they would encourage them to be done each year. We don't get our children done for MMR etc every year do we? That's because it's too espensive for the government, so why do we get our dogs done...

Re: New puppy! Is this a fleece coat?

You can't tell what the coat will be like until they are adult. I met a curly f1b labradoodle recently and she left cream fluff all over my black trousers, so even the curly ones can shed. I think it sounds good if the pups have a vet check, but in reality I don't think the vets can check for much a...
