Re: How big should a miniature be?
I've just read this post and think that the the general public need to be educated/informed that just because a puppy is advertised as a 'miniature labradoodle' it doesn't mean it is a tiny dog; it's just 'miniature' compared with the large standard labradoodles. Maybe breeders should stop advertisi...

Re: Thinking of becoming a Doodle owner!!
I think you've made the right decision!!! :D Roll on October ...... :D An F1 is a cross between a poodle and a labrador. An F2 is a cross between an F1 labradoodle and any other labradoodle An F3 is a cross between an F2 labradoodle and any other labradoodle, and so on An F1b is a cross between an F...

Re: Giardia
I've been told that giardia is quite common in dogs that drink water from puddles or rivers. Giving panacur wormer instead of other wormers is meant to help clear it up. I've never heard of it being passed on to humans. But if you are worried then I would bleach everywhere and make sure your...

Has anyone used Advantix on their dogs???
I'm going to France in the summer with my dog so I decided to get some advantix as it repels mosquitos, sandflies and stable flies, as well as treating ticks and fleas. But now I'm scared to use it as I've read that it is quite a heavy-duty insecticide and has side effects. :( Has anyone had any bad...

Re: Eating.....poo!
I think I've found the answer ............................... a muzzle! :D I know it sounds cruel, but it works (well so far!). I put it on for a few walks and she hated it. Then I carried it with me on walks and if she ate something she shouldn't I put it on for the rest of the walk. She so...

Eating poo, the runs and not putting on enough weight
I've had a problem with my dog eating all sorts of rubbish off the floor, including poo! She kept getting the runs and mucusy poo. I also felt she was not putting on enough weight but if I gave her extra food it just went straight through her. I tried giving her paste with probotics to help firm her...

Re: goats yoghurt
Yes, I didn't much like the taste, but Ed will eat anything - which is the crux of his digestion problems - I'm giving him between a dessertspoon & a tablespoon on his kibble evening meal every day but want to cut it down & out gradually. It seems to work well in firming things up but I'm fighting ...

Taking my dog to France
Hi I've already got the pet passport and she has had the rabies injections. Can anyone tell me what happens at the Euro tunnel? Does she have to get out of the car and be inspected by a vet? Will they request that she is up to date with all her vaccinations, as well as having the rabies injection an...

It is expensive, but just think of all the time you can save washing muddy paws and mowing the grass - very tempting!!!

Re: getting a dog passport and rabies injections
There's a real difference in fees - one vet charged £48 for the passport and £47 for the rabies injection. The other vet charged £22 for the passport and £35 for the rabies injection. I went with the 2nd one obviously!!!! It pays to shop around!
