Re: House trained?

Hi Pollydoodle Dolly's behavior is getting more bizzare . I took her out for her last wee and poo last night.,went out at 10 and came in at 10 25. I counted 17 squats then at the end,1 poo. We went to puppy socialisation class at vets today and at the end the vet nurse weighs them and I told her abo...

Re: House trained?

Thank you everyone for your encouragement . Just put her to bed and for the last wee of the night she did 13 squats  I was waiting for her last poo but every time I said do a poo she just squatted!! She eventually did one for which I did give her a treat. Anne I like your idea of saying the w...

Re: House trained?

We just seem to be going backwards then :( I am vigilant with her and any sought of little sign I take her out but she is doing this (not funny anymore!) 6/7 or more squatting thing. I am wise to not giving her a treat after every squat but she still does it. Did Beau and Dex never have any accident...

Re: Recall with a whistle...................

Doodledee, I am nowhere near the stage of taking Dolly out yet as she doesnt get her 2nd jabs till next week but can I ask what you mean by high value treats? Dolly is very treat orientated at the moment so it would be good to have an ides what high value treats to get for the future. Thanks. Love S...

House trained?

Hello all How long did it take your doods to master toilet training ? I dont mean at night, just the basic daytime one. I take Dolly out probably every half hour or so but she will still wee on the carpet without giving any indication that she wants to go. I never tell her off but its a little frust...

Re: 1st bath

They are very clever indeed. I only give her 1 treat now however many "wee's" she does. Hoping she will get the message as quickly as she worked out how to get lots of treats.
How are you getting on with Lucy ?

Re: Failed at Bronze Level :-(

Oh what a shame  Never mind I am sure she will get the hang of it soon. My pup is still very young but I cant imagine her EVER coming back to me when I call her !! I would love to do something like that with Dolly but I already have a sneaky feeling Dolly will be one of dogs who will totally ig...

Re: Question about girl doodles.

Hi Kathie Thanks for reply. After her bath yesterday she smell a lot better so am assuming the smell was stale wee. She is still having 1 or 2 "real" wee's then just squats at random but I now only give her 1 treat no matter how many squats she does. If it continues I will ask the vet when she gets ...

Re: 1st bath

Doodledee, I gave her treats while brushing her. Holding the treat in my clenched fist long enough to give a few strokes of the brush before I gave it to her. I am worried that giving her treats every time she does good will end up her not doing anything I tell her unless she has a treat and I am wo...

Re: Question about girl doodles.

Glad I am not the only one Lucydoods. The bath has solved it for now. How do you manage to clean your dood ? Does she not squirm and nip you ? Dolly does every time I brush her or clean her eyes etc !! Feel like I should tape her mouth up like a crocodile  How are you getting on with your littl...

1st bath

 Oh my word ,I thought I bought a doodle seems that she is indeed a large rat 11  I never would have recognised her. The bath went quite well but the trying to brush her was a nightmare and I have lots of teeth marks to prove it. I have been trying to give her a 5 min brush every day but...

Re: Question about girl doodles.

Trimming her fur is a good idea but I cant do it yet as she is still nipping a lot and I doubt she would keep still long enough, you should see me just trying to get her lead on ready for when she is allowed out,( cant wait for that ). Anne glad Dolly is not the only one who smells less fragrant tha...
