Re: Stout belly
Whisper has a similar problem if he goes too long without food. He is sick (frothy bile). Both of them have their food split between breakfast, tea and supper. They are sensitive to grain so toast is off limits! I know that at 18 months common wisdom says that they should be on one meal a day but th...

Re: Grrrrrrr Fireworks
Petition duly signed. Let's hope that there are some animal lovers in parliament. It has been much quieter here tonight, only a few bangs. Echo was dosed with Valarian at tea time and has dozed most of the evening. Whisper slept soundly untroubled by the bangs. I have some work to do with Echo befor...

Re: Grrrrrrr Fireworks
My boys had been OK with the fire works until yesterday tea time when some kind person had some sort of morter bomb very loud and a low bang which actually shook the windows. That scared Echo so much that he shok and cowered. Fortunately we had some Valarian in sp he had a dose of that which helped ...

Shampoo nightmare
I have had to wash a very dusty doodle who has rolled in some builders sand. (I have been having some pointing done to the side of my garage) I put him in the bath as I usually do gave him a good wash to get all of the gritty sand out of his thick poodley coat. Up until now the boys have been using ...

Re: Chicken & rice to help tummy-but how much?
I had a similar problem with my 2. I found out after following the vets advice and feeding chicken & rice that they were both intolerant to rice. They improved quickly when I fed boiled chicken and sweet potato. After a search of the internet I opted for Millie's Wolfheart which has suited them the ...

Re: Early rising
We are now quiet until the alarm at 5.40. I am quite happy with that as I have to get up around then to get the dogs fed and walked and me breakfasted and sorted before I go to work at 7.30. So I can say yet again this too has passed - what next :? That problem didn't take long to come along. Is it ...

Re: Puppy 9 weeks old...wondering about coat.
My 2 boys have swapped colouring. Echo was blonde as a little puppy and up to the age of 6 months and Whisper was Fox red / ginger. ( they are both from the same litter) Slowly over the past 7 months Echo has darkened to a dark gold and Whisper is now blonde with a little red behind his back knees. ...

Re: What time in the morning?
I feel your pain! I am having a similar problem with my two. They are 13 months old and have been getting up before or around 5 since the beginning of April. Before that they slept till 6. They were crated. After reading on the net I chose to set the alarm for 5 mins before they started ( tricky to ...

Re: Dog lungworm
Bid, I am sorry to hear that. Living with a dood is a rollercoaster life isn't it. I was surprised that Whisper was clear although Echo is Lab through and through and will eat anything! (Except worming tablets) What is the treatment for Fox lungworm? Echo had 7 days of Panacur which he thought was a...

Re: Then and now!
Echo is the one with straight hair and Whisper is the curly one. Considering they are brothers they are so different is looks and personality, but I lave them both and wouldn't change them. (Except for the 4.45 starts!)

Re: Early rising
We made it to 5.30 this morning - I forgot to switch the alarm on last night  There wasn't any noise from either dog. I will however be out buying Whisper a new bed! I am not sure which one needed a late night snack  The Wormcount results arrived late on yesterday, both dogs are now clea...
