Thank you all for your advice. I went into Pets at Home and got some advice. The lady was very helpful and sorted me out.
I have started looking into Worm count. I may do that once she is full grown.

Worming
I am getting confused!! The vet has told me to worm Winnie once a month. They will do it for me every month for £7. But it must be cheeper to buy online and administer yourself. When I looked a lot of the treatments were only available with a prescription from the vet, which they would charge £16 fo...

Re: New puppy
We have had a great night 3! She had a busy day meeting family and friends. Lots of playing in the garden and successful toileting!! I put her to bed at 10 again and she settled straight away, I think she was tired out after her busy day! I took her out at 4am and back to bed, she settled straight a...

First night
We picked Winnie up yesterday! She cried quite a bit on the way home in the car but not too bad. I took her straight outside but she had already done a wee in her crate in the car! :( I put her in her crate at 10:30 for sleep. She settled straight away because I had played with her in the garden for...

New puppy
After many months of searching and research we have found our puppy!! :D :D :D :D We will be able to bring her home at the end of the month. She is a medium, red labradoodle. We have called her Winnie. I can't wait! Quick question: should I get her a coat? She won't be able to go for walks until end...

Re: Goldendoodle help
I have not met any breeders myself so I am only going by what I read. I like the look of a breeder in Lancashire www.redrosepuppies.co.UK. If you are looking for first generation, standard there is a breeder with great reviews www.menethorpedoodles.co.UK. Let me know if you have any success. I am pl...

Re: Goldendoodle help
Hi,
I came across your post. Did you manage to find a breeder you liked? We are looking for a miniature goldendoodle or labradoodle next year. There are not as many breeders of goldendoodles it seems.

How much is too much?
I am getting a bit confused! I really want to make the right decision about which puppy to get. Im not sure about the benefits of having an Aussie over UK bred. I have found a breeder I like the look of who is breeding 50/50. She does not neuter/spay her pups, which is important to me. But how much ...

Re: Neutering a dog so young? Advice please...
I am currently doing research into getting a puppy and was shocked to find that most breeders neuter/spay so young. It is hard not to surmise that they are just protecting their profits and not doing what is in the best interests of the puppy. If you are prepared to go to all that effort to prove ne...

Re: New member!
Anne, Thank you for your reply. It is lovely to hear about Amber and Isabel's antics. What lovely memories. I look forward to my little ones making memories with our dog (whenever we get one!) It is sobering to hear of your son being bitten by his childminders dog. I would not forgive myself if some...

Re: Vegetarian dog
Thanks for your responses. I am surprised that many of you feel so strongly about a dog not eating meat but fish. I have done lots of research and a dog can live a long, happy, healthy life without meat. One of the longest living dogs in the UK was vegan! She was a border collie and lived to 27 year...

Vegetarian dog
Is anyone feeding their dog a vegetarian diet? I have been reading about it and wondered how common it is. I do not eat meat and my family are pescatarians (eat fish but no meat). So it would not seem right to feed our dog meat. I would be happy to feed it fish based food. What are your thoughts? No...
