Re: Humping

I love the harness Bid. We've been wanting to find one with a handle. When you say useless as a harness, how do you mean?
Sorry to hijack the post Bertie!

Re: Coat changes in Labradoodles

Watching this one with interest too. Woody is also 6 months (just). Though he hasn't any patchy bits, I've been trying to find out when /How his coat may change. He's got a long haired fleece type coat.

Night time barking

Our gorgeous Woody is now approaching 6 months and I must say, he's turning into everything we hoped for & more.....He's a really adored member of the family. Recently he has begun barking in the middle of the night. Quite obviously, if not in a deep enough sleep, he must hear something outside and ...

Re: Hello - Introducing tiggy.

Hi Kate, It's lovely to hear about Tiggy, I have a doodle the same age and his behaviour sounds identical, (though his nipping during really excited times has not completely ended yet.) You're own personal doggy bank! My goodness, that must have been so worrying! (I hope the vet gave you the...

Re: HElp. Emotional dog

Woody did this for the first time yesterday & it did surprise us. I was stck in bed all day with a back in spasm & unable to move. Hubby was home (& downstairs mostly) all day. Woody just lay on the bottom step & cried most of the time. We ended up letting him upstairs (which we generally don't allo...

Re: Has everyone abandoned ship?

I'm really new, look through daily & find lots of great stuff to help with the puppy......I just feel i don't really have much to contribute at the moment. More sucking up the learning really. (& I must agree with earlier comment about the photo's. I'm terrible with technology & find it really hard ...

Hello.
I'm in North Essex & have been keen to find meet ups too, (though Woody is still a little young as at 14 weeks he doesn't really go for walks longer than about 20 minutes.)

Re: Barking

Hi, Though I've never had a puppy before our recent addition Woody, when I had an adult rescue dog he did particularly like to bark. I rewarded him for barking & said 'speak' each time he did so. Very soon he would speak on command. This then assisted me in 'shutting him up'! :P I introduced 'shush'...

Re: Early 'humping'

Thanks all, I've spent the last few days reading & looked at the previous thread mentioned and we're now decided definately to leave it & review it when he's much older (probably about a year or so.) I must say, I am a bit disappointed with the vet as when I asked her advice, she basically said, as ...

Re: Early 'humping'

Thanks, I'll have a look at the thread. It seems there are various thoughts around suitable ages to neuter. When I took him to the vet last week (before any humping), she suggested the 6 month age. Gonna have to spend some time looking into the pros & cons more I think before making a decision on th...
