Re: On today's menu is ....

Few vets encourage/agree with the BARF/RAW diet, so your lucky. I think its personal preference...but not something that should be done on a whim or without a lot of prior research and knowledge. Having studied animal nutrition I think it must be very difficult to get the right balance. Its actuall...

Re: Ticks

Hiya

Not much if hes a young pup (Not sure if hes a standard or mini), so a quarter of a clove should be fine.

If you dont walk him in areas where there are sheep and deer I wouldnt worry about it.

Re: Anyone know any good joint supplements?

For a young dog with no joint problems, Fish Oils is really all they need. 1000mg per 8-9kg of dog, so if you buy the 1000mg capsules then just calculate how may accordingly. (Mine get 4x daily). You do need to add Vit E though if you supplement with fish oils though (fish oil depletes vit E and its...

Re: Is there a need to feed kibble?

I dont feed the trays often, BUT when I do, I usually give at least 2x nd daily for myx2. Hector is 35kg and Arch 42.

Just go with your gut instinct, I feel that 2x daily isnt enough so they usually get chicken wings or something else on top of that too.

Just remember that 50% of the diet should be raw meaty bones, and the rest should be muscle meat, offal, Eggs, Fish etc.....If you want to throw some veggies in then thats up to you. Surprised he didnt like the mince beef :? , its a fav of my boys. Just m...

Re: Apples

 I think Bid was just stating a fact nothing more.

Apples are fine (although in a raw state and not extremely ripe they offer little in the way of nutrition) , and every dog is different anyway. So I wouldn't worry Yeti
