Re: RUBY HAS HAD PUPPIES!!!!!

Hi I'm just coming up for air as it gets towards the end of the first week - you don't get much sleep when you try sleeping downstairs with a noisy litter! Ruby's been brilliant and taken it all in her stride. You would never guess it was her first litter - she is a natural! :D Here are a few ...

RUBY HAS HAD PUPPIES!!!!!

I have some very exciting (and surprising) news - Ruby is a Mummy!!! We took her to visit a lovely apricot mini poodle stud dog, but although she really liked him she wouldn't stay still and he was unable to tie. I was convinced she wouldn't be pregnant as she missed last year. Anyway, yesterday she...

Re: i'm so mean....

Oh I do sympathise with you. We had a similar problem when Daisy was a pup - we tried to get her to pee and poo in a 'dog area' of the garden, as the kids were young and I didn't want them accidently stepping in anything, but she refused to use the area and decided to go underneath the swings and cl...

Re: Poll: Miniature Sizes

When people enquire about my puppies I always warn them that although they are called 'miniatures' they are not tiny dogs, and some in the litter may be as tall (but lighter) than a labrador. I haven't come across anyone who is particularly shocked by this, so hopefully the majority of the public ha...

Re: Poll: Miniature Sizes

If we are talking about an F1 miniature labradoodle - lab x mini poodle, then maximum size would have to be the size of the larger dog. Therefore it could be possible to get a miniature labradoodle at 20" (although the height of most pups in the litter would probably be somewhere in between both par...

I've only just seen this thread - love the photos    We tried to train Daisy to wee/poo in a particular area when she was a pup but failed miserably, so it must be a family thing!

Re: Going on holiday.......what about pup?

Have you asked the breeder if they could look after your pup for a week? A couple of Poppy's puppies came back to visit while their owners were on holiday - both had a great time playing with their mum! :D

Re: Looking for a puppy around newport

In the past vets would not hip score/eye test non KC reg dogs, and that included labradoodles. Things have changed in recent years. I got my labradoodle, Ruby, hip/elbow scored and eye tested and the vets used her microchip number on the paperwork as she wasn't KC reg. There is no excuse for a breed...

Re: Any bitches not got pregnant recently?

I can understand how you are feeling as I've had bitches that missed before. There are lots of reasons why a bitch doesn't get pregnant. The timing could be wrong (they don't all ovulate the same day every season), infection, trauma, foetal reabsorption, hormone imbalance etc. Sometimes it can be du...
