Re: Tinned food

Herbie loves his Nature diet I mix in a handful of James well beloved for a bit of crunch, but that's optional. I agree with you that its important to find something they like. Herbie was on Oscars dry when he came from his breeder. He enjoyed it for the first few months, but they he started to leav...

I'm so pleased to hear things are looking brighter

getting some positive feedback can make all the difference.

It's such a worry when your dog has a problem and you don't know how to help it. Just being pointed in the right direction can make the whole thing seem much easier to cope with

Re: Roxie's first caravanning trip - Easter 2011.

Great pictures

the weather looks fab and Roxy looks like she had a ball. The one with her all cozy and in her bed is very cute.
We take Herbie away in our caravan to. He loves it.

Re: At my wits end - barking

So sorry to hear your having these problems with your girl. It must be very distressing. I think your wise to seek the advice of a behaviourist. Aversion techniques are fine so long as they are introduced by a behaviourist following contact and assessment of your girl. Although some of these techniq...

Re: Soft Toys??

Hi there Herbie has a mix of dog and human toys He used to be very gentle with them until I made the mistake of buying him very expensive Wainwrights toys for one of his Birthdays. I didn't know they have a chewy dog treat inside, Herbie obviously did know this, cause he has a big nose and sniffed i...

Re: Training Methods - Kong

Hi there Her suggestions aren't as crazy as you think. As others have said, feeding from a kong keeps them occupied for a while and makes their meals (which lets face it is the highlight of their day  ) last a bit longer. I did both. normal meals, or moistened some food and stuffed it in kong. ...

Re: Advice for journey home after collecting pup..

Oh My I remember how excited i was when I went to pick up Herbie from Tora. Only about an Hour from Glasgow, but you'd be amazed just how much vomit can escape a small puppy. I can't stress how important kitchen roll is (plus a bag to put the soiled stuff in). PS don't make the same mistake I did an...
